5. Gremlins
6. Basic Instinct

1) "In Like Flint"
2) "Our Man Flint"
3) "The Prize"
4) "The Last Run"
5) "Papillon"
6) "A Girl Named Sooner"
7) "A Patch of Blue"
8) "The Red Pony"
9) "The Great Train Robbery"
10) "The Flim-Flam Man"

These are the Goldsmith scores I enjoy the most and even if I also do enjoy scores like "Alien" or "Planet of the Apes" very much too, I go back much more often to tonal scores with strong and thrilling melodic material. Yet a cue like "The Buzzards" [fron "The Red Pony"] is among my favorite cues ever written by Goldsmith.

For me, I would need to know if we're talking film scores as they appear in the movie or as soundtrack albums. The two lists would be quite different.

Same here : that why i decided to focus only on scores that have been released -- and i mean officially released. And in my case too there would have been some different titles in that list -- at least 4 ! That's the reason i didn't include HOLLOW MAN : i'm fond of the isolated track music on the DVD but the CD is just fine.

That wasn't really my angle, though. It has more to do with the two experiences being completely different. A score might work brilliantly in the film, but may not be the best listening experience on CD. Or isn't the best in the film, but great on album. So the lists would be different depending on angle.
