Nothing wrong with the tone of his comments to me, and nothing wrong with having specific gripes either (ons I happen to concur with, if not as strongly). In fact, the original message is very positive about the label outside of those points. Tone Deafness does seem to be a major problem around here and sadly in the rest of the world as well. And Ford, while I can agree that posting on here asking about orders is rather pointless (exactly what e-mail is for), this is more about the release itself, and I think invites other opinions, and perhaps a response from Bruce that everyone can read. For some reason, anything like this voiced in public is a sign of a huge ego in your eyes. Blah,Blah,Blah.. In short, it gets the audience the original poster's ego wanted. Thank you for grasping that. Ford A. Thaxton

Remember, it's not just about the criticism but the goal of the one criticizing. Were they truly trying to assist the vendor or satisfy their own ego. Or are they just plain immature? One tactic over another has a far better chance of producing the desired result. Again, that's if the one complaining actually has that goal. You got one thing right - if you're going into the niche business of producing soundtracks than you better be prepared to boldly embrace criticism. I'd recommend to ANYONE who thinks about going into the soundtrack business to view this board as it will MOST DEFINITELY thicken their skin. Again, you are just trying to guess what the original poster's intention was. Why bother? He made a critic. And it is a valid one. Label in question could embrace his critic or ignore it. But start a flame war because of it is just ludicrous.

Hi My object is not to insult any one, least of all Bruce. Not to inflate my ego..but merely open the forum to hear what others have to say. If no one agrees with me, so be it. I think insulting me is a waste of time. I'm trying to find out if other soundtrack collectors feel we can make a product better. If they disagree, they disagree. We should all be able to express what we think--without being bullied. bullied? You post something in a PUBLIC FORUM, you should be mature enough to understand that you MIGHT be challenged on it. Do you ever think of emailing him directly BEFORE POSTING HERE? Or even post on the forum on the KRITZERLAND site first. Or was the first choice to post here so you'd get folks to PAY ATTENTION TO YOU. Ford A. Thaxton

I did think about posting him first. I wanted to hear what others have to say--agree or disagree. Ah, let's post it in a public forum so I'll get others to agree with me and INFLATE YOUR EGO!!! If you really wanted to offer some thoughts that might be helpful, A DIRECT PRIVATE EMAIL to the person as a a rule is a vastly better thing to do FIRST, then trying to "BULLY THEM" by posting in a public forum and trying to get others to help you do it. Bravo! Ford A. Thaxton

You seem to be very concerned about ego. everyone has to deal with folks with egos everyday of their lives.. That's just a cold fact of life. You should learn to accept this. so all I'll say is this is my last email to you about it. You do understand the difference between a EMAIL and A POST TO A PUBLIC FORUM? Because you haven't sent me any EMAIL that I'm aware of........ If anyone wants to voice their opinon about the artwork and notes, I'll be glad to hear it and respond if necessary. In short, he exits the stage because he's been called on his BS. Oh well. Ford A. Thaxton

"Otherwise, suck it up and be grateful for what you have been given" To be clear, we aren't being 'given' anything. We BUY these CDs, therefore we have a right to comment on them. The original poster was not rude. Speaking of TUNE DEAF folks..... If he really wanted to offer something worthwhile, he should have emailed Mr. Kimmel first. Posting in a public forum to get others to help him "Bully" him is downright rude. But I'm sure you'll be unable to grasp the concept. Ford A. Thaxton

Ah just ignore Thaxton shane, he's a joker. The arbitrary caps and temper tantrums are part of his humor. That of course is your choice, hiding from opinions you don't agree with is often such a mature thing to do. :-) Ford A. Thaxton
