Congratulations on a truly spectacular release, Bruce! I don't post on this board very often, but this is a of collection of fabulous music that I've long wished for, but never dreamed would see the light of day. These Preminger noirs represent to me a sort of universe unto-themselves (LAURA in particular being a film that seems to benefit from repeated viewings, as if the film starts over as soon as it ends- rather like the work of David Lynch.) They're all great films with great scores. Listening to the main title of FALLEN ANGEL now, it strikes me how much it suggests the driving, propulsive opening cue of Alfred Newman's AIRPORT... My sincerest thanks for this release! Paul Clipson

Preminger at Fox, Waxman at Paramount, A Place in the Sun, The Missouri Breaks, The Far Horizons/Secret of the Incas, Too Late Blues, Leave Her to Heaven/Take Care of My Little Girl, The World of Suzie Wong, My Geisha, Laura, Who's Got the Action?... - how many of you think as I do that Kritzerland is THE label of 2013 so far?

Well, I'm glad you think that - I'm afraid we're not on half this board's radar

It's amazing how Bruce has now stepped in, while nearly everyone else has abandoned the Golden Age, and I really look forward to seeing his new release announcements almost every two weeks now. I ordered this through SAE (with some other things) and will look forward to hearing it. I'll wait a little longer to get mine, of course, because it doesn't come directly from Bruce, but I've waited 68 years for FALLEN ANGEL, anyway, so another few weeks doesn't really matter. Though a few of you have never heard of some these titles before, I could put this in a little different, age-related, old-timer's, perspective: I don't think that I, in fact, did, but I could have ACTUALLY seen all of these films when they ORIGINALLY came out! (I DO remember seeing Fox's HANGOVER SQUARE, with Bernard Herrmann's great score, in 1945, when I was 5, and JOHNNY BELINDA when I was 8, so I was already into the heavy psychological dramas even then..... ) When I was 4 years old, LAURA came out; when I was 5, FALLEN ANGEL. I was 7 when DAISY KENYON was released, 9 for WHIRLPOOL, and 10 for WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS!!! I missed the premiere screenings of THE BIRTH OF A NATION, however. I once had a short phone conversation with the "sweet and lovely" Otto Preminger in the early 1960s when I worked at Saul Bass, so I will look forward to these calm and serene scores bringing me relaxing memories of those calm and serene moments with Otto.

No, but maybe for those members here over the age of 50. I purchased The Missouri Breaks from the list above. I check in with each release and they just do call to me. I believe I have supported Kritzerland as best as I can. Please do not get me wrong, I do own quite a few scores from this period/era, but they are big power scores, Rozsa, North, etc. Kim Tong
