I currently have hotel booked only for one night on 4/5th October and I was also planning to arrive around noon on Friday and then leave on Saturday. If there is any symposium happening and if there is any chance to actually get in, it would be good to know as soon as possible so there is still any chance to book few more nights at the hotel and also finally get the train ticket changed to arrive few days earlier... Still no update on this year as far as I'm aware though. I am contemplating of doing the first concert as well as I will be arriving on thursday, to get the most out of the trip. Regarding dinner, nice to see so many people attending! The restaurant in the concert house is most likely sold out after September 15th, especially for so many people and on this particular day. The symposium will indeed be on the 2nd, at a considerably higher entry fee this year (€25), but apparently it includes a "simulated" recording session. Should be interesting for those who can make it. I could probably make it to 17:00 and get the last couple of hours, but I don't think they would let me 'stumble in' like that. Also, it would be a lot to pay for just two hours -- which seems to be mostly Austrian people talking about stuff. Bummer! The second half traditionally belongs to the awardee, but the first half has works by various composers. If anything, the first part looks unusually short and "pop"-based this year.
