Almost impossible to narrow down as I have most of LLL's releases.

Some that would be on my list that haven't been named by others:

The Medal of Honor Boxed set
The Friday The 13th Boxed Set (looks like Jim Bailey posted this just as I was posting)
55 Days at Peking
Fall of the Roman Empire.
Space Above and Beyond
The Cloak
The Flash

#1 is Batman. Without question. Love the heck out of the first disc in this set!

#2 Hook
#3 Krull
#4 Home Alone (1 & 2)
#5 Star Trek TMP

3. Krull (a complete surprise having missed all previous releases)

I really regret not picking this up. At the time I had the existing 2-disc set and the samples didn't sound like that much of an improvement. Now I kick myself for not upgrading. frown

It's not really that much of an improvement. There's only so much you can do sometimes. Great score.

If MV reads this thread, I'd actually be curious to hear what his favorite release are from his label.

Agreed.

As I'm not a fan of C&C releases, and this is LLL's chosen modus operandi, I've never picked up any expansions of anything. However, they have had some premiere releases now and then and even if they are C&C too, I'm very glad to have them out there in some form or other.

So my favourite within that perspective is probably Harold Faltermeyer's TANGO & CASH, which I even got with an autograph.

Also -- TAKING WOODSTOCK by Danny Elfman and THE GOLDEN CHILD by Michel Colombier (the Barry stuff I could be without).

Oh yeah -- and COPERNICUS STAR; that was a nice surprise too.

In no particular order:

55 DAYS AT PEKING
THE ROBE
THE BIG COUNTRY
WARNING SHOT
STAR TREK THE MOTION PICTURE
THE BODYGUARD
GODZILLA
THE SHOOTIST/THE SONS OF KATIE ELDER

One of the things I like best about La-La Land is the variety of eras and genres its catalog includes. Something for everyone, and always nicely done.

I think STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE is their greatest coup overall.

However, being a Barry-ite, I have to say I've rarely been so ectastic as when La-La put out FIRST LOVE.

I think the STAR TREK TOS box is also a pretty awesome achievement.

Sorry - impossible for me to decide a favourite. I do love so many different releases for so many different reasons.

Battlestar Galactica
A Certain Smile
Medal of Honor
Star Trek TMP
X-Files
Krull
The Fury

To name but a few.

I'll echo that. If you're a 80s/90s action movie junkie like myself, a fan of the old fashioned scores, love cartoon movies or big on Sci-Fi, they have it all there for you to choose from. I'd be surprised if more than thirty people on this board have never purchased from LLL.

It was their 'The Golden Child' release that brought out that reaction for me. And just to let Thor know, I used the Colombier disc as a coasterwink
