"Istanbul"? Never heard of it. What year did Mancini score it? Was it TV or film?

ISTANBUL scrapes in as a 1956 Joseph Pevney-directed Universal jobby, with (uncredited) stock music by Mancini, Stein, Skinner etc. I used the "computer" to get that info.

I think we can allow that (the inclusion of ISTANBUL - and the use of computers to verify facts), but I do believe there should be stricter rules regarding the placement of the definite and indefinite articles. When there's an "a", or an "an", or a "the", you just all seem to either put it at the start or at the end however best it suits you. That's not clever, it's not clever at all.

Apologies if I'm wrong, but I think the correct
word is ACROSTIC and not ACRONYM.

Good thread Josh - Where did you get the idea?
Best,
Adam L.

God help any composer called Quentin Xyzygy.

No need to invent a name; Franz Waxman should satisfactorily stump us all. big grin

Well done joan! You've unearthed a wealth of Waxman scores which I never even knew he wrote!
