Lukas,

I'm local, but the most I would be able to do for you is to rent some space in the same storage place and transfer some of your back issues--giving me time to cherry-pick the issues I'd like to keep--and do disposal or dispersal later as a free "esteemed record producer" service.

Let me know what the price range for units is. Then I'd know if it was feasable to consider this "project".

E-mail address available on profile.

Just leave them in the unit. It would be interesting to see how high the guys on STORAGE WARS go for this unit!!!
Free advertizing, LOL!

If so I'd have no problem meeting anyone local at my storage unit in Culver City and giving away whatever he or she can fit in a motor vehicle—though what I'm afraid I CAN'T do is go through and make people "one of each" collections or mail anything to anyone. Or do anything that would take time.

Lukas, I work in Culver City on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and I have a pickup truck. I might be interested in taking them off your hands depending on how much material you're talking about.

I would love to buy every issue again, since our lovely united states postal service lost my whole batch in transport 7 years ago. What a shame, they had such nice covers.

P.S. The R.I.P. Goldsmith issue, one of our best, is long sold out, so I don't even have that one!

I'm not at home now, but I'll have to dig out the DVD-R when I am and read that one. What issue was it?

I have just a few copies of the physical magazine, but they're very nice and high-quality. I'm keeping them:

Hmmmm, that's more than I could haul in one trip and I'm not sure I could absorb them all, but putting that aside for the moment how soon does this need to happen?

Ideally, I would like extra copies of certain issues -- the ones with the Williams buyer's guides and the very last issue of the printed magazine, which contained my own Elfman buyer's guide (the first part of it, anyway). But that would be cherry-picking, so I won't ask for that.

However, if someone else is able to take them off your hands, I might be able to deal directly with them.

Meanwhile, I'll sit on the sideline and see what happens.

There's nothing that I can do from my perch here on the East coast, but when I see other film magazines like Little Shoppe of Horrors and Video Watchdog that are going back and reprinting OOP issues of their publications, I'm just sorry to see back issues of FSM being pulped. I hope someone can step in and preserve them.

What a cool guy to just give these away, if I was close I would do it. There is nothing like having the original magazine in your hands. It's a shame to see these originals destroyed though. Yes, it is much easier to just give them away (a good thing) or give them for annihilation to recycling but why not give them to SAE and let them deal with it. They did sell back issues. Perhaps they can include free copies to customers who buy FSM CD's depending on the CD quantity they purchase.

SAE does not have the room to store these—they don't sell well enough to justify the space and money to stock them...and I certainly don't want to spend several thousand dollars to truck them across the country.

I think what I'll probably do is throw out all but 1 box each of the remaining issues.
