Stefan, have you tried looking in your local public library? Perhaps in their cafeteria if they have one? I mean, you never know where these things might be, and just because you have located hundreds of tapes while others have never found anything (or even looked for anything) in their entire lives, that doesn't mean you know what you're doing and that doesn't mean they are not experts in the field that you have been devoting your life to... Oh, and if you have a spice cabinet in your kitchen, have you ever thought about looking in there, too?
Is this Dave Schecter's way of saying "Yeah I like Lavagnino"? 
Maybe Godwin Borg has some peplum in his kitchen cabinets.
His golden SALADino will be on the dining room table in November, with Caesar dressing.

I really want to thank Kronos for putting this score out on CD. It's quite a fascinating score. There are some nice choral passages and some soft, lyrical string cues which immediately say "Lavanino," but many other parts have an ancient, savage sound, almost more like what one might expect from something like Mario Nascimbene's SOLOMON AND SHEBA. The action cues are particularly exhilarating. I'm sure anyone who admires Lavagnino, or likes the type of music usually heard in some of the epic sword and sandal films will be sure to like this one. This score deserves to sell out quickly.
I do wish to throw in a word of caution for any audiophile-minded buyers out there though. The sound quality on this CD is rather rough, although I'm sure Kronos did what they could with the tapes they had. The louder passages often display noticeable distortion. Also the playing of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra leaves a bit to be desired, with many players sounding less than pitch-perfect.
But the bottom line is that we should be happy just to have this wonderful, rare and rather obscure work at all! On a musical level, I highly recommend this CD.
