I've never laughed once at it. I must have a terrible sense of humour smile

I didn't understand what the big deal was at first, but then I saw a few episodes and was quickly hooked. It's just brilliant. Probably my favourite cartoon show at the present time (not that I watch that many cartoon shows).

Hi Thor! I know you're a fellow JURASSIC PARK fan, and there was a JURASSIC PARK spoof on it last night. I enjoy the inside movie jokes they do on FAMILY GUY.smile

What is the harm done by joking about cancer or AIDS and such?

Speaking for myself - its the source thats important, especially if its "blue" humor.

An AIDS joke from George Carlin would go a hell of a lot father than Andrew Dice Clay, for example. When Carlin says it, its to make a point. When ADC says it, its because its vulgar. One is funny, the other is not.

Family Guy - actually, all of Seth MacFarlane's shows - are just garbage. Its not saterical, its not thoughtful, there is no end result or moral like the best Simpsons or comedy shows like All In The Family had. Its just a smart-for-stupids low-balling.

Thanks, henry. I'll check it out when it becomes available over here.

Family Guy is my favorite animated show after Home Movies.

I haven't watched it for the past couple of seasons because of its ever changing time slot, but I'll snag up the complete set when the series eventually ends. If there's something I detest about it, it's how it's released in volumes, in which an entire season will be split up.

Love FG. Don't watch it as often as I used to. But some weekends I'll binge on it, then I'm good for a while.

My favourite episode is the 'Bird is the word' one. Very funny.

Hands down, one of my favorite episodes. Great clip my friend, thanks!

I like Family Guy and I still think that's pretty funny. A tad obvious, but still pretty good. JFK's foot is my favorite. Good laugh to go out on.

I always love seeing people get up in arms over Family Guy, proclaiming how awful or "destructive" it is when it's really just a goofy show that means no harm.

Gee, I don't consider a show that tries to mine humor out of AIDS, date rape, cancer and trash dumpster babies to be "harmless".

This is my issue with the series. I want to like the show. The comedy set up is actually really good. But the jokes are just so gross and disgusting it turns me off.

Humor is subjective. One either likes their kind of jocularity or one doesn't.

Very true.

Still one of the best shows on TV. But....has struggled hard (giggity) to retain anything remotely fresh, and the number of great episodes per season is dwindling extremely quickly...would suggest it needs a bit of an overhaul...nothing drastic, just a fresh coat of paint...they've done it before.

Works best for me when it catches me completely off guard (I was watching a repeat the other night and it suddenly cut away to a Conway Twitty song....what the ever-loving fuck??!!)

Still highly quotable, occasionally brilliantly observed, sometimes side-splittingly hilarious, and always in the worst taste! Always amazed at how good the music is...there's a lot of love going into that side of the show - particularly in the music-heavy eps such as the "Road To...." ones...

Loads of rewatch value too...always something else to see. Cleverly done.

This year's concluding episode had the greatest "chicken fight" ever.

Haha - it did!! I must admit, I had a good chortle at the one in the penultimate episode too - how very British!

I love it. Whilst I could actually do without Peter, I love all the other characters especially Stewie.

Some of the songs are just brilliant - "A Bag Of Weed" is just sensational as is "Downs Syndrome Girl".
