Frankly, I went to one of the more prestigious prep schools in this country, where my classmates included many young men from what is politely referred to as "Old Money," not to mention quite a few who were what we snidely referred to as "Nouveau."
And none of them was as self-centered, entitled, and even mean, as hundreds of people I've met and worked with in the years since, who seem to think they can do pretty much anything they want, including screaming loudly to get their way.
And, I have to add, most of these rude people have been women, though certainly not all. And, where I live now, in Southern California, is rife with them...

(Since my the hospice company I used to work for went bankrupt, due to getting caught at Medicare fraud, amongst other felonies, I ended up being recruited for another hospice company. I showed up at my interview in a jacket and tie. As I was waiting, a former fellow nurse from the previous hospice company came out from an interview, dressed in what looked like jeans, a hoodie, and a t-shirt. He made a joke about my appearance, and I explained this was what I wear to all job interviews.
As I am fond of saying, he looked at me as if a tree had spoken to him.)
