SSGB - a decent detective/espionage story set in an alternate history Nazis win the war by 1940 universe. It's a bit dour but worth a watch. I prefer The Man in the High Castle.

The Invaders Not as good as I remember (maybe it was better in black & white). The producers obviously weren't confident in doing a pure science fiction drama and shoehorned at least two fight scenes into nearly every ep ( at least the stunt double for Thinnes looks like him!) Imagine if Richard Kimble was turned into an action hero! Brm

Million Pound Menu - An easy watch, sort of Dragon's Den-like. Each episode features a couple of restaurants that are attracting investors. It's set in Manchester, too, so i can visit some of the places at Christmas, like FINCA.

I saw episode 6 of From The Earth To The Moon, the first moon landing, & it was all great, & I thought episode 7 would continue & bring them back to Earth, but instead it jumped forward to the second Moon landing in a sort of comedy episode, which puzzled me a bit, & I zoomed through eps. 8 & 9 & the magic was gone for me, so I didn't bother with the last three eps. Anyway, I at last started Deadwood & saw the first two episodes, & I think I'm going to love it.

THE AMERICANS final season Just watched the opener and boy I am I relieved! They have jumped ahead a few years to the Gorbachev era and returned the show to its espionage and political thriller roots. brm

The Invaders - it's great and I haven't seen it since I was a teen. Thinnes is a likeable, believable lead, the music is really excellent, lots of gust stars, some of which weren't famous then in tiny roles like the teacher from Breakfast Club. It has a great tone but is still fun to watch. Ace opening titles too.

THE TAKE British crime drama starring Tom Hardy as -what else?- a psychotic gangster! Hardy offs various people by stabbing & shooting, mutilates his father, screws his father's young wife, cheats on his own wife, and rapes his best friend's sister. And, that is just the first two episodes!!!! Didn't stick around after that brm p.s. I am sure BillCarson wil LOVE this show

Community - I'm going back through them all. It's a very fun and creative comedy with lots of great moments. Seasons 2 and 3 are the best but there's actually a lot to like in even the last three series, which were compromised by changing writers, missing actors and even the show creator. Great stuff, well directed and edited, with very good music by Ludwig Goransson.

The Saint The Rifleman Moore does all his own fight scenes! But, unlike the other feller, he blinks just before he fires his pistol.
