I saw Infinity War for the first time Tuesday and have watched it twice again since. I haven't done that to a movie since Jurassic Park.

I was a little astonished at how borderline-Shakespearean the movie was, and to say I was impressed would be a gross understatement,

How many times is it now wa?!!

Three times or four?

TV series!!!

Hence the hint "currently watching "

I have the hardest time figuring where to write this stuff (sorry folks).

...and to think that's just part one!

I know...I'm pretty darn psyched!

Three total times I've watched Infinity War...already. I have to take back what I said about Jurassic Park being the last time I basically watched a movie three times in a short time. Since then Ben Hur, Vertigo, North By Northwest, Man of Steel, Fahrenheit 451, Marnie, Sisters, Obsession...all have been watched dozens of times altogether.

Just looked at the last two episodes of season one of Deadwood, quite brilliant. I'll stretch it out & give it a month or two before starting season two, I've many other box sets to catch up on.

4/5 thru GOTHAM.
WILD season, with its usual ups and downs. Wish they didn't bring back the "doc" character. I can't stand looking at the 'orrible nose job!

Btw kudos to the fashion designers for their amazing outfits!

Enjoyed series one, barely made it through the first episode of series two.

Don't take any notice of me, though.

You need fortitude to get through it!
First series had a bit more mystery, 2nd series got madder.

It promised much but was a bit ragged and not much substance. Something lacked.

The Bridge (the original Scandi) , forth & last season. I'm six episodes in & just have two to go. There's a lot going on, & some really twisted stuff, & I zoomed through a bit of it (big mistake, I had to go back & look at it). I'm enjoying it, but the first two seasons are the best for me.

Bill, not sure you will understand what is going on by just watching the final episode. However,
I wrote the below comment on a post on the music side.

No spoilers ahead.

This series has received amazing critical praise. However, if you go into IMDB, you’ll read divided reviews from viewers. Some write, “10 out of 10 hauntingly beautiful, an insightful journey, etc.”
Others write, “1 out of 10, like watching paint dry.”

I agree with the paint dry viewers. I watched it every single week thinking that now something would happen, some actual forward movement would occur. Surely I won’t have to again watch Amy Adams driving endlessly up and down streets or staring at light fixtures. And each week I watched driving, staring, and some very quick flashbacks with the narrative barely moving forward. This series, IMO, could have easily been done in 4 hours.

If you do make it to the finale, the last 10 minutes are very interesting, and watch the end credits of the finale for more insight. Hope you and Lukas enjoy it more that I did.

(Hey Tom, I know you liked it better than I did.)

Well, overall I DID enjoy the series, and Amy Adams was just amazing, as was the entire cast. However, it did end with more of a whimper than a bang. However, yes, you do have to watch the end credits but it was almost as much of an enigma as the whole show was.

I didn't find it as boring as some but they did overall leave you expecting more of an intense suspense drama than a psycological who done it.

7 out of 10 - not entirely disappointed but not entirely satisfied either

Thanks tom.
By the sound if it, it seems like an extra slow burn that ends with an intriguing puff of smoke rather than a big explosion. Ive saved the final ep and might try it.

Yes... Did you see her in The Snowman? Barely recognisable.

The Bridge was great but we did miss Martin latterly.

Knightfall.
History channel.
Knights templar. Tried it, perservered thru about 5 episides but it was cheap n nasty and poor. Halfway thru ep 5 i thought why am i wasting my time with this crud, its not getting any better, goodbye. Delete the rest of the series in case i was tempted! 5 out of 10.

I'm a sucker for the various Marvel series, courtesy of Netflix. Of the recent ones, my favourite was The Punisher, followed by Luke Cage s2 and Jessica Jones s2 (although it was a big step down from s1). The Defenders was very disappointing and Iron Fist would have been better if he didn't keep going on about K'un Lun ALL THE DAMN TIME.

Despite which I'm now watching Iron Fist s2. And guess what - K'un Lun, K'un Lun, K'un Lun like a bleedin' parrot...

THE MAGICIAN

The pilot was excellent. Good production values, cast, an intriguing premise and a clever mystery.
The next few eps have been a mixed bag featuring cliched television 'action' tropes of the era.

The sniper who cant get a clear shot of the target because someone keeps walking in front of him, blocking the view..... oy vey!

One season was quite enough for this boy.

Killing eve on bbc has started well.
About a psychotic female assassin whose work is clocked by a smart analyst woman working in a branch of mi6.

There is a rescreening of ep2 tonight (friday) at midnight and ep3 is tomorrow. They also do a story so far at the beginning.

It might get silly but atm its slick and has good black humour.
