I saw David Arnold conduct at the Royal Albert Hall in London back in 2010 - he'd organised a charity event with guests such as John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams, Craig Armstrong, Anne Dudley, George Fenton, Michael Nyman and many more. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Arnold conducted the End Titles from 'Independence Day' and an instrumental of the theme song from 'Casino Royale'. Suffice to say the performances were amazing - full of energy and excitement. If it's anything like that, you guys are in for a treat!
I was there too, the Concert for Care was a delightful evening, and I even took pictures with Michael Nyman (late tense) and John Ottman (very cool and relaxed). My favorite part was George Fenton conducting the end credits from Memphis Belle, a personal favorite I never dreamed would be able to see performed live.
And David Arnold is a very charismatic guy, well spoken, funny, a natural showman. He was great conducting his killer instrumental of You know my name, witch was a thrilling finale and made me pay attention on this great song I foolishly thought was a minor effort.

I dug out all my Arnold CD's upon my return to normalit...err, Liverpool.
I only have about 12 or 13. I seemed to have stopped buying his stuff between Godzilla and Casino Royale.
I remember being wowed by Young Americans (thought it was Kamen when I first saw the film) and equally impressed by Stargate, Dogmen and Independence Day.
Then I lost a bit of interest in his music.
Casino Royale was the first score of his in ages that made me sit up and want to buy the CD again, with Narnia and Paul also impressing me.
The concert has given me a buzz to go through his music again.
Amazing Grace is winging it's way to me now. Really looking forward to that one after the lovely taster I was given on Sunday night.

Count me as another who was thrilled to be able to experience White Knight live. Fantastic cue, fantastic performance.

Somebody needs to reissue LAST OF THE DOGMEN, preferably expanded, stat.

What I would love is the film title mix of TWINE which was captured in DA's performance on the night. Never been happy with the released version.

This was just a fantastic concert. Everything I could have hoped for and more. The program, the performances, the guest appearances, Arnold and his classic dry humor—everything fell into place for a perfect evening. I really hope Arnold keeps this going with more concerts and considers bringing it to the US. His music plays really well in a concert setting.
