BTW, is it just me or did anyone else notice that 35 percent off the Euro price is not the same as if these discs were 35 percent off from a US retailer? I mean, I previously purchased a number of these from retailers located here in the US, and the price is $19.99. 35 percent off that price would make the CDs $12.99 each. Yet, even after the discount, when Euros are converted to dollars, these same CDs ended up costing approximately $14.90 each. Plus I paid about 40 cents each for the foreign transaction fee. So I calculate that it worked out to about 25 percent off a 19.99 USD price... and for some reason the Santa Claus set was about 23 percent less.

I ended up spending MUCH less on each of the seven titles I purchased, plus I didn't have to pay for First Class international and registered shipping. The only logical conclusion? Huge savings, a substancially lower bill than at SAE and a great big thanks to Quartet for this FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC sale!

Multiple thumbs up!

It's great seeing inter-label love! smile

Yes, and this small business would be much nicer if it were always so, though there are unfortunately a few exceptions.

Thank you Advise & Consent, but maybe never is enough...

Anyway, it's a pity, but our generous offer, made with great effort and which includes the whole catalog on 35% discount, and free shipping with the purchase of 6 CDs for Worldwide (anyone can get an idea of what is the cost of this from Spain?) seems stopped in recent days when other very similar offers have appeared on the market in the same dates.

The sweet smell of competition!

I hope sales were satisfying thus far and will continue till the sale ends this week!

I've picked up
A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM (very much looking forward to this) &
SANTA CLAUS: THE MOVIE (3CD) which has been on my wishlist since release.

Thanks a lot, Quartet!

I don't think... the 'other(s)' are offering free shipping though but I understand. It's not the first time you've been itercepted by copycat competition whenever you guys give us a great offer.

Received my order with FEDEX (wow!) just a few days ago. Very fast and prompt. The CD's... perfection! Listened to so far to ARTURO'S ISLAND, PARTNERS, and LA RAGAZZA CON LA VALIGIA. The music is heavenly.

When is the sale ending??? Tempted in perhaps getting a few more.

Once more, excellent work Quartet... truly an excelent label!

It's a great offer, I am waiting to weekend to place my order because I need to study what I really want.

I agree with Quartet, it doesn't help that Intrada gives us such a huge sale at the same time. The fact they did it at the same time, it's not helpful for customers.

Varese is coming back with their Club titles. After months without reply, it's kind of frustrating they are returning at this moment with so many offers around.

1.) Thank you Quartet for this awesome sale!!! Out of all the current sales yours is the best. I like how you offered free shipping to people who bought six CDs. Yeah, that is a lot of music/money, but it's worth it if you wanted to take advantage of it. Here is what I purchased:

The Two Faces of January
La Monaca di Monza
La Belle et la Bête
Santa Claus: The Move
Miel de Naranjas
Verbo

2.) I already own every single Fernando Velázquez Quartet release, and can't recommend them enough!!!

3.) This is our Soundtrack forum, and we can praise and complain about anything we like... but I find it odd so many people complain about the number of sales. Granted they are happening at the same time, but we should be happy they're happening at all. Sales don't have to happen... food for thought.

I wish I could get one more order in in time, but with Varese Club and LLL coming next week, Intrada and MSM sales (which I can't unfortunately afford now) + planned trip to Poland, summer (and chrismas) is not a good time for sales... although I am glad I got at least some major holes in my collection filled with:

Addison, John - Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders
Adenot, Pierre - Beauty and the Beast
Bacalov, Luis - Che Fare?
Yared, Gabriel - Tom at the Farm
Kamen, Michael - Crusoe
Velazquez, Fernando - Ocho Apellidos Vascos

I also finally managed to benefit from this great deal with

War Goddess (Ortolani)
L'Assoluto Naturale (Morricone)
A Ciascuno Il Suo / La Polizia È Al Servizio Del Cittadino? (Bacalov)
Timanfaya (Cipriani)
Nel Nome Del Padre (Piovani)
La Piel Que Habito (Iglesias)

Could anyone give a review on "Shanks"? I am making up my mind about ordering it but listening to some of the audio clips sounds like a difficult score to like.

Thanks for the bump, I'm on a bit of a Donaggio kick at the moment and I just finished watching PASSION, so I'm gonna pick up that and PATRICK.

I was not aware of any MSM sale. Where would I find this sale? I don't see anything here: http://moviescoremedia.com/

Hi Quartet,

tried to send you an Email a couple of days ago, but seems it got lost.
So I tried it again today - would be great if you could take a look into this matter! smile

Thank you! I took the chance along with "Murder on the Orient Express" and "Sunflower" smile

Don't miss "Cinema Tivoli" by Alfonso Santiesteban. You need to be in the mood but it's a wonderful release. I wish Tarantino heard it, surely would use a lot of tracks on his features.
