Neville, I too love FANTASTIC VOYAGE. And as the human body is largely composed of water, I suppose it does indeed count as "underwater music". By the way, a tomato is also mostly water, so I'm surprised nobody has yet mentioned the score to ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES.

1.Seaquest DSV (wish they'd do a bigger release from that series) 2.Leviathan (goldsmith, had to be) 3.Wind (though technically thats on the water) 4.Jaws (some of the time slightly underwater....) 5.The final countdown (on the water again and thro' a timetunnel.....)

Crap, I somehow forgot about one of my favorite movies which had some great music from Mancini, Stein, Salter, et. al. The Creature from The Black Lagoon. I was thinking more of ocean than lagoon!
Most of the cues from the score "U-571" and some from "Victory at Sea" would count for me as a favorite. Would some of the cues from the score "Das Boot" count as a favorite?
Ah, of course....submarine movies! They mostly have excellent music - DAS BOOT, HUNT FOR THE RED OCTOBER, CRIMSON TIDE, U-547 and K1: THE WIDOWMAKER. Perhaps even ICE STATION ZEBRA would count? I like them all!

I recorded the first two scores off TV back in the day, since I liked them so much. I see the DVD is in my local library, plus SF. But many copies appear to be stolen. Maybe others liked the scores as much as I did!
