The score for the "Supplente" sequel was ordered. Maybe it will have a heavier disco feel than "Libidine" or "Paradiso Blu" but I'm in the mood for taking risks: lately, the Cipriani releases have been surprising me in a constantly pleasant way. Libidine is another great release, some disco/electro flavoured tracks up first, but most of the score is on the dreamier, softer side. It has one or two themes in common with the score he did for Blondy. In fact, I think the last track on Libidine is a straight lift from Blondy, which suits me just fine! I've just ordered the new GDM release of Le Mataf (Tre Per Una Grande Rapina), which has some lovely subdued, melancholic themes - very far removed from his late 70s stuff, or his more beat flavoured work.

...a silver ribbon for best soundtrack to Stelvio Cipriani. The comment of Cipriani can be considered one of the classics of world cinema music, the main theme, printed all over the world, was played on the radio and a very successful international sale, especially in Japan. For our new CD with a duration of 71:52 we used first-generation master tapes on a full stereo album and the original recording session and with the approval of the author it is divided into three sections: the first, containing the album of the era, the second, film versions and alternate takes published for the first time, and the third, two pieces of which the author took a new version for piano and keyboards. The disc closes with a nice audio message from the great composer to his fans in Italian and English. This CD wants to pay tribute to a cult film of international cinema and the fabulous music art of the legendary Cipriani. Does someone have some experience of this new release to share?

I'm still waiting for Metralleta 'Stein' on Cd. CAM Lp info Soundtrack Collector: http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/title/23996/Metralleta+%27Stein%27 You will probably be waiting in vain, because this was more of a library LP. So nothing original was composed for METRALLETA STEIN, but the LP did mainly contain older CAM catalogue tracks from UCCIDERE IN SILENZIO, L'ASSASINO...È AL TELEFONO, WHIRLPOOL (Cipriani), LE ULTIME ORE DI UNA VERGINE, IL SORPRISO DEL RAGNO (Patucchi) and I GIOVEDI DELLA SIGNORA GIULIA (Rustichelli).

I'm kind of bummed to read this, but thanks for the informative post Stefan. Do you know which of these contains track #3 Verso L'Ignoto? Yes, "Verso l'ignoto" is from Daniele Patucchi's score for the Giallo movie IL SORRISO DEL RAGNO from 1971. Even before METRALLETA STEIN CAM had used this track on their library LP CAM CML 022 "Giallo 1".
