I really want to see this movie even though I imagine it will be pretty depressing. Audience reviews at the IMDB are overall very good. A few reviews are from Korea but there are some from America. I wish this movie would hurry up and come to our theaters....now!

I'm with you Joan! I am dying to see this movie. I think it will be dark but also very special. The movie looks refreshingly, amazingly original (based on source material of course) and breathtakingly audacious.
I agree, DeputyRiley. This movie looks like a very original and creative take upon the subject of cataclysmic dystopias, and I've always been drawn to movies and books that dealt with these futuristic visions. I'm tired of movies that lack imagination and creativity, so I hope this one won't disappoint. I'm depressed to hear that 20 minutes have been cut. Drat!
OK. i have the entire score on my desktop :-) listening to it now. I'm quite impressed. i will describe it as mostly atmospheric with quite pieces (a great piano piece is titled 'sushi') and very few aggressive action pieces.

Pretty accurate. The atmospheric pieces are more interesting than usual because they seem to have some thematic backing. Still not much I would want to listen through in full multiple times.

Indeed it is a very thematic score. Different themes are treated to several permutations and variations keeping the entire score cohesive yet varied. The jagged action theme is constant throughout the score, sometimes bombastic and sometimes very subtle and atmospheric. Damn I love this score to death.
Loved reading those comments from Beltrami and the director. Unique insights. This is absolutely one of the most deserved CD releases of Beltrami's career.
Of any composer, this might be my favorite sci-fi score ever written.
It's a solid score, very nicely recorded. But I can't help but think Bong Joon-ho's regular native composer Byeong Woo-lee would have have delivered something more distinct and original, like his fantastic scores for The Host and Mother.
Not that I know of but that yesasia link above doesn't exactly break the bank -- affordable, and with free shipping if you buy like $10 more of stuff (I threw in some Hisaishi that hasn't had a US release).
