"The Red Canvas".

I very much enjoyed this too, and I think it'd be in my top five of the last five years, along with Miic Macs as referenced by Mitch. But overall, I'll stick with Mr Soderqvist's beautiful vampire score.

I never understood all the hate directed at The Social Network, but this is territory we've all covered many, many times. It's an arresting listen in and out of the film (if you take away the "Hand Covers Bruise," one of the tracks most people hated specifically, there's so much good stuff in there, some of it reminiscent of the "synthstrumentation" in Tron Legacy).

IMO, if you take the score out of THE SOCIAL NETWORK you'd still have the same film. It's had, IMO, zero dramatic effect.

did you see THE SOCIAL NETWORK
did you see TRON?

one is a classic, the other a piece of drek
the quality of the film should enter into the decision
TRON had a a fun score I'll give it that

i think the 'hate' comes from folks who only know the music from the cd (which has several unmusical tracks) and have not heard the score in the context of the film.

TRON LEGACY was a truly terrible film

I've seen both films many times and like them both a lot however I do like one more over the other.

TRON LEGACY is a visual and audio feast. I had zero expectations going into it (same can be said about the score) and once the end credits started to roll I wish I had seen it in the theatre. It's a spectacular film that I've watched with my son a good 20-30 times. I absolutely adore it.

I saw THE SOCIAL NETWORK in the theatre and was entranced by the brilliant screenplay and the equally amazing performances. A lot like Zodiac it is also a brilliant special effects film. Armie Hammer should have received dozens of awards for his performance as the Winklevoss twins. However, if you had asked me to hum one note from the score after seeing the film I would have probably said, "There was a score?" It was so forgettable that I was dumbfounded when it received so much acclaim. And on subsequent viewings I still don't hear ANYTHING special, especially when compared to the superb TRON LEGACY.
