Oh, I adore this movie. It appears most or all of the critics do, too: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_lego_movie/ I will say I thought it looked good from the same trailers that a few posters here thought made it look awful, so obviously not everyone's tastes are in sync (and I freely admit to a bias anyway, in that I'm predisposed to like LEGO anything), but I will also say that thankfully, this isn't one of those movies where the best bits are in the trailers - the overall movie is much better. It's quite funny, but also with a bit of heart, and I can see this movie enduring as a family classic. I can't wait to see it again on the actual opening day, and in the days and weeks after that. Oh, and incidentally... I was alerted to this tonight. My first reaction was... wut. Srsly, wat? Of all the people who frequent this forum, you're the last one I'd have thought would be thrown off by animation based on toys. What's up with that?

This sounds good. We just watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 and I LOOOOVED Mothersbaugh’s score.

I don't know what happened in the screening I saw, but the score seemed like it was mixed so low I couldn't even hear it most of the time.
