I have made a comment about this before, but is there any way CDs could be on sale for at least a month or so. At 12.75 US$ shipping, it is not ideal to buy CDs one by one. This is not counting that I will move house soon and the CD might not even end up at the right address depending on when it is shipped...

Some releases don't need enthusiastic responses to sell out but this Oscar winning score is from 1951 and listen to how it sounds!

Have it sent to a friend or a family member who will hold it until you can retrieve it.

One never knows anything in terms of how long something's going to last. We're still sitting on copies of things six months to a year later (some more than that) that we thought would sell out quickly. The postage has nothing to do with anything but the USPS, unfortunately. Certainly we're not making money on it, we're losing money on every International postage charge because we are not marking up to include the box the CD is shipped in - those, in case you're wondering, are not free and they are, in fact, expensive. If you need us to hold one for you, just let me know.

Thanks, but finally, I found two more items to send along (I thought they were sold out!) and I will send them to my father!

Hey Bruce:

Have a brief memory lapse, I'm pretty sure I ordered this CD??? Unable to send e-mail from your Kritzerland site.

Thanks,

Excellent release!

Our wizard audio restoration man, Chris Malone, did amazing work on the cues taken from the masters, and – for the others – was somehow magically able to keep the music and eliminate the effects while never compromising the audio quality.

In case of the movies without the music-only elements, would be possible to do that also, or only for cues recorded under certain conditions?

The french company Audionamix, the one who did Psycho original score recordings from mono to surround for its release on Blu-ray, can do amazing things with mono.
Pricewise, would be possible a soundtrack to be released being completely remastered using this technology?

Not sure what you mean about not being able to send e-mail from our site - I believe our e-mail address is everywhere on the site - it's no secret - kritzerland at gmail dot com.

That said, you did indeed order it.

Glad it sold so quickly for you Bruce. Can't wait to get my copy when it's ready.

It's looks like (some) golden age cds will indeed sell very well. smile

I sure hope so!

1,000 copies of a golden age title seems to be a the golden number!

I hope this will encourage Bruce (and others) to issue more golden age cds best they can. smile

Now a prime candidate for reissue at a later not too distant date, along with LAURA.

Unfortunately, 1000 doesn't sell out on a lot of Golden Age stuff - it's sometimes shocking. But Laura and A Place in the Sun, well, let's just say I was able to reach outside the soundtrack fan and that helped immeasurably. Still, if I'd done 1200 or 1500 we probably would have sold 700 rather than the 1000.

That's what you get for going away for 5 days - just got back from Berlin, and knew about APITS - got back and tried to order it and it's sold out at Kritzerland!
But (hopefully) managed to order a copy from SAE! (haven't had a confirmation email from them yet)
Great CD, vinyl, DVD and book store in Berlin called Dussmann's in Friedrichstrasse - a "must-visit" - and when you do, go to the café (called Ursprung) in the back of the store in the basement - an undiscovered gem of a place.

Well, advert a 1000-copies release and press 1500. It will be a win-win move. And i remember this has already been done by a major soundtrack label but i can't come with a name right now... wink
