I've listened a few more times and for me it's crap. If it's funny then I don't get the humour.
Obviously they thought it is funny to make noises like a cat whose tail is stepped on. If somebody gave the direction "affected diva" and "Mandy Patinkin", I don´t understand this either: I thought the idea was "to offer a first glance, sight-read rendition of sheet music" and not trying to be "funny" and sounding like Inspector Clouseau:
Well, Sheetmusicman, I'm enjoying these renditions, as they are now doing some of my favourites. What's wrong with people when they can't enjoy a bit of fun with this stuff? How seriously are we supposed to be taking them?
I also enjoy what the Doctor Who Fan Orchestra do with Murray Gold's music for that show. People are simply finding their own way of expressing their enthusiasm for this music and sharing it with the rest of us. Those of us with a sense of humour and a little generosity that is.
Just the sort of thing I'd do at my keyboard and banjolele, if I could play a flippin' note! Keep up the pleasant work, guys.
Going through each and every one of these I just wanted to add how fun of a crew this seems and how I wish to invite you all to my big cocktail parties at the highrise I may or may not own in Hollywood someday.
Seriously, though - you're a lovely group of people. Keep this up.
