Land of Storms - featuring 2 main characters who look mildly like the protagonists of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, who smoke and drink about as much as they did, and have a similar sort-of outdoor-ish, angst-y relationship.

I saw it recently, and I kind-of enjoyed it, but didn't like the ending.

This looks like it could qualify, and maybe fulfill Montana Dave's need for another BROKEBACK.

It does have sheep at one point.

I'm really looking forward to Keep the Lights on smile Looks like a solid film to watch with my boyfriend.

And when you see it, Sirus, tell me if you think the best friend "Clare" looks and sounds a lot like another actress.

I keep hoping MontanaDave will watch this film to answer the request I made of Sirus above.

I did rent 'Keep the Lights On' and HATED IT, intensely. I didn't even finish it. Though I remember while watching it (I gave up on the two loser-leads early on), I watched to guess where exactly in Manhattan and Chelsea and The Village they were.

Has nobody else watched this? I'm DYING to ask someone about something in the movie.....

I finally got to see this, after reading about it being in a LGBT film festival.

Montana Dave might have liked it. Maybe.

Trailer:

The whole darned thing:

There's even a sequel......

Could this be the next BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN? I'm interested to see.

I rather liked this. I'm glad to see that a BROKEBACK-ish story finally evolved to where it did not have to end up a tragedy.

I think that MD must have already seen this, as it's far too awesome and I think he likes the people in it: an extended interview with 4 veteran British actresses.

A very good time I had watching it, too.

When I was in NYC a couple weeks ago, I saw a new film, END OF THE CENTURY, which got a great review in the NYT. Fascinating film, with a number of mind-bending twists. And it has a couple of hot scenes of man-on-man. Nothing wrong with that...

True. But still a very much been-there-done-that affair.

David, have your heard from Montana Dave recently? I have seen him visit FSM in a long time. I hope he is well.

This one is reminiscent of BROKEBACK in that it has a reunion after a long separation.
