My, oh, my, Ock-man, the way you're talkin' I hope you're keeping this habit down to a minimum. I don't want to see you become a Type II diabetic before you hit 40!

Oh, believe me, I do keep it to a minimum. (I'm turning 52 this year and, despite the fact that I look very young for my age I still have 20 pounds more on me than I should have! LOL)

I would guess we don't have McDonald's more than once every 2 months or so. And that's only if there isn't a Burger King or Wendy's close by to wherever we are.

Mmmmm.... Whopper.....

Dang-it! Now I'll be craving this all day!

Which came first, the horse or the hamburger?

Or what was on the floor?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-23403935

"Greater Manchester Police said: "The sight and smell of this caused obvious distress and upset to customers trying to eat, as well as staff members."

And then the horse arrived ...

If I'm going to eat a burger, it is going to be something I enjoy, which is not McDonalds. Like others have said, Five Guys is solid. I also like Smash Burger and a local place called Woody's Burgers. Woody's is my favorite local one and they have good beers on tap as well. I hear other places like Burger Lounge are even better but I haven't tried them. My sister loves In N Out but I find it passable at best.

Honestly, some people are just so dumb sometimes. It's a horse. One should be shocked if it DIDN'T dump on the floor.

And all the people who were so stunned in this article, you can bet dollars to donuts that for weeks they will be telling this story to their friends and neighbors in a decidedly hilarious fashion.

Well, I'm just guessing here, but I suspect it was the presence of the equine in the place in the first place that raised the eyebrows.

Activism takes many forms.

I eat more Mickey D's more than I care to admit, but I only do it because I'm lazy and want something quick (and I keep it to less than 750 cal.), but often it's not as quick as I like when going thru the drive-thru. Sometimes I really have to wonder why it's called fast food, just as I wonder why so meny that work there seem somewhat braindead, and remember... always check the bag!

Was something pertinent to follow your statement about McDonald's losing its mind?
Was all-you-can-eat-fries a separate thought?

I certainly didn't connect the two...

Haven't had a burger or fries since my initial post in 2013. My substitute, an egg sandwich.
One egg, a little butter, slice of cheese, ketchup, and two slices of wheat bread tastes just like a medium-rare cheese burger to me.

Sounds like you're describing an Egg McMuffin, or am I thinking of an Egg McMuffin after it's been digested?

Yeah I guess it is. Explains why I like the Egg McMuffin.

Is that legal in your state, then? Or have I missed something....

This is making me nostalgic for the McDonalds of my childhood in the 60’s.
The simple restaurant design, Golden Arches and all.
I remember when the menu offerings were pretty much hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and sodas, before the Big Mac appeared. In fact, even today 99.9% of the time when I eat McDonalds’ food, I get the two-cheeseburger combo. Nothing wrong with the other selections, I just prefer that old standby, but for one exception: McRib!
Darn it; now, as they say here in the country, all this food talk has “flung a cravin’ on me”! Since it’s almost lunchtime, think I’ll go to the nearest McD’s for the combo!
