My husband has still not forgiven me for taking him to The English Patient. I loved the film, but he kept praying the guy would die so he could leave.
I was bored and repulsed by The Doors. I finally walked out about three-fourths of the way through.
I was rather bored and repulsed by the group! I never understood their success. Their music always sounded, to me, like the circus had come to town.

I, along with my Wife, Sister & Brother-in-law fell asleep during CRIMINAL LAW in the Theatre.
A very BORING movie and score by Goldsmith - same thing happened to me during THE RUSSIA HOUSE, when I watched it on Cable - also, sold off the CD to that movie, as well.
Two VERY BORING scores by Goldsmith, IMHO...:-(
I can understand Criminal Law causing you trouble, but sorry Russia House is a gorgeous score throughout, and the film is under appreciated too. Is it slow, yes, intentionally so, but it has a real story, a real writer, a real director, real actors, in an interesting setting. A gem.

Another one that had me on the verge of nodding off was "The Last Temptation of Christ". The only thing I was tempted to do was run for the exits. However, I was with two other people who wanted to see it, and before going, we were all curious about what all the controversy was about the film, so I politely kept my silence.
But man, what a bore. Hard to believe the same guy who gave us interesting films like "Mean Streets", "Taxi Driver", "Raging Bull", "After Hours", "Goodfellas" (etc.) dropped this sleeping pill on us....

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I could literally hear WTF? grumbles from the audience as they shuffled out at the end ("What'd the papah give it, tree an' a half stahs? I'da given it an EFF!"). Impeccable period atmosphere and good performances, but WHAT THE HELL WAS IT ABOUT?!
I understood TINKER TAILOR SOLIDER SPY and still I found it to be BORING; very few times have I ever seen a film that ZERO urgency or anything resembling tension.

Antonioni's LA NOTTE
Jeanne Moreau and Marcelo Mastroianni wandering around, endless talk.
Ends with them making love on a golf course.
At least (last) it ended....
So boring.
(Not that I found other Antonioni films any better, except for BLOW-UP, which remains incredible.)
One of my all-time favorite one-line reviews I once read was:
"With an Antonioni film there is less there than meets the eye."
(Wish I could remember who wrote it.)
RED DESERT is Antonioni at his most boring!

Besides all the children's films I sat through with my kids (G-Force, Cats vs Dogs 3, Hotel Transylvania etc)......
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. (It just kept going....)
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. (It never got going....)
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (5 minutes in I was wondering how long to go until it finished)
I remember seeing an Australian made Horror Film that was supposed to be so scary, every cinema offered a "fright break" 10 mins before the finale. During this break, the film was stopped and those who were too scared to sit through until the end were allowed to leave and get their money back.
The movie was so boring that people were having conversations during the movie. I'm not talking people who went with each other. I'm talking about conversations that got shouted out across the cinema between people who didn't know each other.
Needless to say, when the "fright break" happened, every person in the cinema got up and left and got their money back. That is, everyone except for my mate and I who stayed til the bitter end thinking that the whole thing was some sort of practical joke.
It wasn't.
We lost our money.
It was called Bloodmoon. Check it out. i was surprised to see it rate so highly on imdb.

As for the earlier post about Flight.....it was also marketed as an action movie in Australia. While I wasn't that keen to go and see it, I was dragged along and absolutely loved it. Regardless of how it was promoted, I really can't see how this would fall in your "boring" category. I thought it had a wonderful cast, brilliant acting and a story that drew you in. Maybe it was just me.....
