I'd watch Sky Sport just to see Natalie Sawyer, Hayley McQueen, and Charlotte Jackson

Hayley is the daughter of former Leeds, Scotland (and Man U, unfortunately) centre back Gordon McQueen. All I can say is that he must have a stunning wife.

I recall reading that about my beloved Hayley.

My beloved Natalie Sawyer supports Brentford FC:

What's red above and blue beneath and about to sack another blue ex-red who harbours delusions of managerial adequacy?

You should have heard Merson and Souness on sky last night - they slaughtered arsenal.
No shouters, 36 midfielders who are the same, could have been six nil, etc etc. Savaged them.

Yup, Arsenal were lucky to stagger away from that game only two goals down. Only one win in the league so far, could be a battle to get into the top four. Happy to see Chelsea only draw tonight after their early goal...that should have been disallowed, but well taken.

Poor little baby faced chap. Back to the minor leagues for him...

I also can't see Fulham's own Mr Magoo last much longer after another bad result for them earlier tonight.

I know - how did Fabric Ass get away with that challenge? That was a sending off in the Premier League.

A win for my brave boys at Bournemouth on Tuesday, and a derby game against Huddersfield tomorrow. Had the chance to go and see it for nothing on a friend's ticket, but we're having a family day out at some horticultural gardens near Ripon, which has been organised for weeks. Whoo, and indeed, hoo.

Well they must have felt bad about it as Cesc was wonderfully dispossessed of the ball later on and Chelsea's woeful defense allowed Schalke to run unimpeded down the length of the pitch for that delightful equalizer. Thread favorite John Terry picked up a yellow for his pre-adolescent display of kicking the ball well after the whistle had blown. Way to lead 'em, "Captain." roll eyes

I have the Scottish Premier League on my online streaming subscription. Is it a league worth watching? I await your witty but erudite and helpful responses.

Hiya jim
frankly, its mostly fkn tosh.
There is effort and a lot of huff n puff and you do get the occasional mad 3 3 but the standard is fairly feeble.
Probably championship or worse.
Usually the best two teams are streets ahead of the rest and one of them isnt even in the league now.
And when celtic play in the champs lge they have always been exposed.
There is much talk of scots big two coming down to the prem but honestly i think they would struggle to get out the championship.

Without its non-English players, I wonder how good the Premiership would be?

Funny you should mention Scotland joining England. Ironic that the SPL is independent of the English league. "Ha ha ha."

I'll give it a pass, given your glowing endorsement. wink

Watching the replay of the Olympiakos-Atletico Madrid CL match. The announcers suddenly stopped talking and it's been all crowd noise for the last thirty minutes!

If i were you id stick with spanish, german and italian before id be desperate to watch scottish.

Maybe if i was in a hotel and my phone was dead, and there was only a sean bean film on tv, and i couldnt see the amateur sunday teams playing in the field over the back very well, then i might watch a scottish match.

Any thoughts on this likely appointment, TG? Could be a good move.

Never ceases to amaze me when clubs make an appointment that doesn't work out, they then go and get the next guy who is the polar opposite of what they had!!

THAT is utter tosh, Bill-o. With the support and extra resources Celtic would benefit from being in the Premier League, they would easily be able to attract top players and pay big wages. Celtic would pretty quickly be challenging for a Champions League spot, at the least. They are a far bigger club than most in England, and the potential if they played in the PL would be huge. The English know this, which is why they won't let them in until their 'brand' starts to diminish and they have to. There's no comparison between Celtic and 'making up the numbers clubs' like Southampton, West Brom, Sunderland etc. Celtic's support and fan base is practially second to none.

It's still quite early, but West Ham have Liverpool on the ropes and are down 2-0 fourteen minutes into their match. I wonder how the Reds will respond? Could make for a great game if they can claw back into this.

Tosh? Yeh alrite.

West ham have started with an energy thats shocked me, and liverpool!
expectin this game to be 2-3 eventually. We can rarely hold a lead.

Ooh never expected that. Thought all along a liverpool comeback was on the cards.

The way the second half went, i certainly never expected a third goal.

Liverpool definitely weaker without sturridge.

I can even hear the sound of Roy budd's orchestra warming up!
