We DEFINITELY need a non-classical/jazz NP thread!

Really? No we don't Thor! ...or at least I don't!!! wink

Here I can see members eclectic non-film music choices which occasionally have led me to check out sounds I haven't heard or music I needed reminding of.

I love that members posts here can veer between a~ha and Albinoni to ZZ Top and Vaughan Williams.

Superb!

Agreed! In fact, I was listening to this very album today after hearing Bowie's new song "Blackstar", which I really loved. I hope the whole new album is as good.

Monteverdi: Mass of Thanksgiving, Venice 1631 - Andrew Parrott / Taverner Consort, Choir & Players

Not written for U.S. Thanksgiving, obviously (it was to celebrate the delivery of the city from the plague), but there are many good reasons for giving thanks.

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing..... (1996)

The only word I can use to describe this album is "masterpiece". I guess this would be one of my "take it to the island" CDs...
