I also think Tadlow did a great cover for The Salamander...unfortunately it was just the early mockup version and not used; like you I didn't care for the physical cover. Check it out in their YouTube video of the end credits:
Great cover, that. No idea why it wasn't used on the disc; it would have been much classier. I bugged James once or twice about providing the file but never heard back. So finally I just took a screenshot of the YouTube video, which is in 720p so fairly decent.
As for Hour of the Gun, I don't care for the Prometheus-designed cover but the Tadlow-designed one is decent, although a bit anachronistic re: the guns pictured: https://img1.doubanio.com/lpic/s26554227.jpg
I wouldn't mind if someone decided to take another crack at that one.
I wonder if the official release will mention JW on the front cover. if so, hopefully they won't use the same text that recently popped up (Original Star Wars Music by John Williams), that just doesn't sound right. I'd prefer Original Star Wars Themes by JW or something similar.

After realizing that the 20th anniversary edition had almost all the same music as LLL's new edition, I finally set aside the time to split up the tracks and rename the new segments in order to get a pretty accurate chronological order version of the score. Decided to throw together a new cover for it too.
Since I couldn't find a hi-res (minimum 1200x1200) version of the Intrada cover, I used it as a base to create a custom one for TWILIGHT ZONE '85. Didn't realize until after it was too late that I botched Arthur Kempel's name and put "Kaplan" twice. :/

In any case, nothing a custom cover cannot fix.
Stunning work! I bet the official cover won't come close.

Love the JP cover. Now all we need is a "Lost World 20th Anniversary" cover to match, for next year .
