All of this makes me respect Corigliano even more. I have no idea why I had written him off as a snobby academic as far as his proclivities are concerned. And as much as I like to give Rosenman flack, yes, there's no denying the man did have craft to spare, if not always good taste (though I'll defend PROPHECY until the cows come home!)
