I like YOR. I log into FSM to read YOR's posts.

I have not heard a note from Zimmer's MoS, but I trust YOR that it sucks monkey bowls. YOR is honest guy.

Yor I would be interested in hearing your opiniong on THE THIN RED LINE score, but I don't know in what thread this could be done..

Dear KonstantinosZ, YOR saw this movie two times and liked it a lot.

Never listened to the score outside the movie, but as far as YOR remembers, it was an ok score. At least it did not harm the movie, as most of Zimmer's scores does.

he expresses himself differently because he's an attention whore and a troll. Not just because of his trollish, moronic language and charade(3rd person!) but also because of creating useless attention seeking topics like this one when there's an official thread that every normal member uses.

Marshmallow Moster is mad at YOR!

That's scary stuff!!

Ok, thanks for your comment.
I was just curious because I consider it to be his masterpiece along with THE LION KING.
Perhaps you should listen to the cd too, as it includes some music not used in the film.

Hey, I liked that! I'm not really a big fan of Zimmer's not-really-orchestral orchestral music, but this was pretty good, on its own terms. Gave me borderline goosebumps a couple of places.

A bit like "Time" from INCEPTION in form, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Goosebumps? Don't you mean headache??

Hans Zimmer has never written a note of music that I have found memorable or interesting (beyond a mundane repetitiveness of a theme he happened on...like "Driving Miss Daisy" which, by movie's end, was ingrained like a sub-atomic migraine).

If you started listening to Zimmer from like 2005 (certainly after 07) I can almost complete agree...

But you obviously can't have listened much from him from, let's say pre-05, other than the one you mention, Driving Miss Daisy...

I certainly don't get goosebumbs either. But not headache either ... it's just ... not sure what to call it... it's simply, well, boring, actually. Or something. It doesn't "give" me anything anyway.

YOR is one of the few reasons that I come to this forum.
Most of the discussions are vapid rehashes.
At least YOR adds some fun.

Indeed
Yor is the one and only Zimmer hater who knows Zimmer quite a bit.
That's why, even though I don't agree with him (or her?) not even a bit, since Zimmer's drum/synth/wall-of-sound style is fantastic and, too bad for you, is here to stay, I can enjoy his negative reviews.

No, YOR is not a troll. That he hates Zimmer's music and the RC stuff in general and is always eager to express it in his own way doesn't make him a troll.
And even if he did the same for the music of Williams or Bernstein or Herrmann, I wouldn't put him in my ignore list. I wouldn't put anyone for that matter. I ignore ignore lists - let all the flowers blossom!... cool

Alfred is nice people!

Girl With Condom On Avatar tried to ridicule YOR.

YOR gives her two tumbs up for the effort!

YOR wonders how a girl can like Hanzimmer's drum/synth/wall-of-sounds since it is basically testosterone pumper for angry teenagers?
