For me one of the best composers of film music, great talent for the melody and great versatility to write different scores, I love Miklos Rozsa also but I think Waxman was able to write more varied scores that Rozsa, Tiomkin and Newman (I like them all). also his music is not dated, his music is more modern that the others that have I mentioned and in special Alfred Newman.
