British label Eureka Entertainment has confirmed that it will add various new titles to its Blu-ray catalog: a box set with three Buster Keaton's films Sherlock Jr., The General, Steamboat Bill, Jr., Blake Edwards' The Party, Richard Fleischer's The Vikings, and Attila Till's Kills on Wheels.

Buster Keaton: Three Films 1924-1928

Synopsis: Between 1920 and 1929, Buster Keaton created a peerless run of feature films that established him as "arguably the greatest actor-director in the history of the movies". Collected here are three key films from that era; Sherlock Jr., The General and Steamboat Bill, Jr. Together they represent a true master at his peak, and The Masters of Cinema Series is proud to present all three films from stunning NEW 4K restorations available for the first time on Blu-ray anywhere in the world.

STREET DATE: OCTOBER 16.

The Party

Synopsis: With the massive success of Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Pink Panther cementing his reputation as one of America's finest directors of comedic cinema, Blake Edwards followed them up with The Party, arguably his greatest film, and at the time one of the most experimental films ever produced by a Hollywood studio. Starring Peter Sellers, Claudine Longet, Marge Champion, Dick Crockett, and Danielle De Metz.

STREET DATE: OCTOBER 16.

The Vikings

Synopsis: Hollywood legends Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Ernest Borgnine and Janet Leigh dazzle in this epic chronicle of brutal rivalry and blood-thirsty ambition. Roaring through the 9th century with powerful performances and 'brilliant visual drama" (Cue), The Vikings is a riveting "spectacle of have-at-'em action" (Los Angeles Examiner)!

Bitter hatred divides two brothers. Prince Einar (Douglas) is the son and heir of a savage Viking chieftain. Prince Eric (Curtis) is his unknowing half-brother, the bastard off-spring of Einar's father and an English queen. When the Vikings kidnap a princess (Leigh), her beauty inflames the desires of both men, a bloody duel that decides their fate... and the future of the English throne.

Kills on Wheels

Synopsis: Kills on Wheels [Tiszta szívvel], a highly original, darkly comedic and infectious buddy-movie about a wheelchair-using gang of assassins, will be released in selected cinemas nationwide (UK & Ireland) from 15 September 2017.

Zoli and Barba are inseparable friends and outcasts. Both physically disabled, they live in a rehabilitation facility where life seems rather aimless. Zoli needs life-saving surgery but doesn't want his absent father to pay out of guilt and pity. Enter Rupasov, a mysterious wheelchair-using man newly released from prison. He quickly adopts the two friends and offers them a chance to make some extra money by helping him in his work. That work, however, is murder. Rupasov is a hitman.

In this inventive, action-packed coming-of-age story of friendship, loyalty and revenge, Hungarian director Attila Till skilfully blends reality with fantasy as he offers a gentle probe into the lives of protagonists living on the edge of society and desirous of things which non-disabled people take for granted. Inspired to make his film from his own experiences as a volunteer for disabled people; Attila Till explains his motivation: "It was crucial to me to make a movie about disabled people where they finally aren't played by actors but get the opportunity to act themselves and be the real heroes."

Kills on Wheels will be released later in the year as part of the Montage Pictures range, the new world cinema sub-label that celebrates thought provoking world cinema from new and upcoming directors.

STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 13.

British label Eureka Entertainment has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of director Blake Edwards' classic comedy The Party (1968), starring Peter Sellers, Claudine Longet, Marge Champion, Dick Crockett, and Danielle De Metz. The release will be available for purchase on October 16.

With the massive success of Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Pink Panther cementing his reputation as one of America's finest directors of comedic cinema, Blake Edwards followed them up with The Party, arguably his greatest film, and at the time one of the most experimental films ever produced by a Hollywood studio.

By a twist of fate, the clumsy but good-hearted, aspiring actor Hrundi V. Bakshi (Peter Sellers, The Pink Panther, Dr. Strangelove) is invited to attend Fred "General" Clutterbuck's big party, after having utterly ruined the set of his latest feature film. In this cozy and friendly atmosphere, drinks are flowing, food is in abundance and everybody is in high spirits. But when Bakshi accidentally has his first-ever sip of alcohol and his real identity is finally revealed; only God knows how this party is going to end up.

Serving as a series of set pieces for Seller's improvisational comedy talents, The Party developed a reputation over the years as a "cult film", but is now highly regarded as one of the best comedies of its era. Eureka Classics is proud to present the film on Blu-ray for the first time in the UK.
