The tracklist seems kind of bogus to me. Isn't the first track a slightly modified version of the first track on STAR TREK: INSURRECTION? All the other track names seem to reference information that has been on the internet for a while. I'm calling BS here. Seems legit to me, based on everything I've heard about the plot details. Seems to follow the chronological events quite nicely. That's exactly why it seems fake to me. It feels like someone just read the same info online that you and I have read and made up track names based on that info. And if it DOES follow the events of the film chonologically, then that's a bit unusual for a modern era John Willliams soundtrack album too. So your doubt is based on your assumption that the info found online is incorrect. But isn't it much more likely the info is correct. I don't know exactly the things you've read, but pretty much the whole plot, every scene, can be found online, and that tracklist fits in perfectly well with it. I don't think they've made two separate movies: a fake one to be spoiled all over the internet in some elaborate "leaks", and a whole other secret movie which they drop on us in December about which no one has any idea about. All the trailers and TV spots released so far fit in perfectly with the leaked plot which has been around since early spring at least.

The page has been updated, and the track-list is gone now! www.amazon.fr/Star-Wars-7-Bande-Originale/dp/B014V6JIQK/ Revealed too soon or fake? My bet is on the latter. I thought genuine as it's on Amazon, but the comments about it being too obviously chronological certainly go against JW's approach of musical rather than chronological sequencing. Also, one of his major track title tropes (at least for the recent decade) is "The Something and The Something Else" - i.e. two cues that are edited together and named as such. On an unrelated topic, it often amuses me how perfunctory Bernard Herrmann is about his cue naming. It's always "The Thing" "The Action" "The Person" etc. No doubt the real track titles will reveal themselves to us all in due course...

But, Amazon has made mistakes before and other things weren't adding up, such as the track list being so long... for an album arranged by Williams. Unless if Williams has had a change of heart in that regard.

SPOILERS RED ALERT SPOILERS Townerbarry, I guess you missed that the same tracklist was posted earlier. Already deemed fake as well. There’s been another tracklist leaked, however. This one is shorter, obviously not chronological, there’s a lot of “and”’s and doesn’t really resemble anything rumoured about the plot so far, so should definitely be the real thing: 1. The Adventures of BB-8 2. Captain Phasma and the Chase Through Jakku 3. Chewbacca’s theme 4. Confrontation with General Hux and Finale 5. Take Her to Space, General Solo 6. Encounter on Korriban and the Knights of Ren 7. Supreme Leader Snoke’s Municipal Band 8. Fanfare for Poe Dameron and The Journey to Ilum 9. Rey's Ruminations 10. Enter Maz Kanata and Leia's Dream 11. Luke vs. Kylo Ren 12. Main Title and Escape from the Starkiller 13. The Secrets of the Midi-chlorians 14. Finn's Sudden but Expected Betrayal 15. Return to Kashyyyk and Leia's Funeral 16. Hymn for the First Order 17. Mallatobuck’s Dark Deeds and Finding Lumpawaroo

Maybe the third time is the charm for a song to work in a Star Wars movie. If they're smart, they kept it as background music instead of trying to make it a show stopper.

Lin-Manuel Miranda (composer of the musicals "Hamilton" -- currently on Broadway -- and "In the Heights") just tweet-confirmed that he and JJ Abrams collaborated on new "Cantina" music for "Force Awakens." Craziness! https://twitter.com/lin_manuel/status/671558486317211650 Um, why would they not get John Williams to write cantina music? What was wrong with the other cantina music he composed the first time around?
