The "Expansion" clocks in at over 105 minutes. Very MaxB I’m perfectly satisfied with the original album, but happy (not really) for those who wanted an expansion. The only thing of personal interest in the expansion is the alternate of the secondary espionage theme for clarinet, oboe and xylophone. That secondary "espionage" theme is one of Horner's best. The new release features not only that cue, but an alternate that has the dialed-out transparent strings and muted duduk. Very MaxB

TOSHIRO MIFUNE in 1991 on ALAN FIVEHOUSE (through interpreter) I have no idea what this means. Who is this man?

Lonsdale has always been a favorite of mine. Does anyone have a list of all of the AF films? Thanx!

Lonsdale has always been a favorite of mine. Does anyone have a list of all of the AF films? Thanx! They're all listed and discussed in detail in this very thread. You may want to print it out or make it into a PDF file. Ah, yes! And my local library has a couple of them on DVD. Awesome!

Wasn't there an FSMer who posted under the username "Agent Norman Newman"? I miss their clever, witty, and dedicated insights on All Things Fivehouse. Sure. This person last posted on the thread on Jun 2, 2015. Scroll up a bit and you'll see it. I always got a kick out of "Agent Newman" using the cover art of the soundtrack as their avatar. It's nice to see this thread bumped back once in a while. A true original. I like to think of it as our own "Pomander Walk" amongst all the towering cookie cutter cement and glass structures that continue to spring up around it also known as the Star Wars threads. I'm fairly certain Sam Waterston, Dianne Wiest, and Carrie Fisher visited Pomander Walk in the "New York architectual wonders" sequence in Hannah and Her Sisters. As for the rest of the FSM Boarde, I've come to see it as all the buildings Alonzo A. Hawk owned in HERBIE RIDES AGAIN. This thread, and a few others, are like the small, comforting house the Helen Hayes character owned in that Herbie opus.

There should be a Wikipedia page for All Things Alan Fivehouse. Maybe it could be put up right after the Brown Box gets its release. There was. Seriously. Don't you remember it? It was mysteriously axed.

So I checked and found out my library has copies of Revenge of Alan Fivehouse and Who Weeps for Alan Fivehouse (but not the first film, darn it - I'm a Frankenheimer fan) which I've put on reserve. They also have the Edward Norton reboot, but I'm not sure if I should bother with it?

A quick tweet (or twat) back and forth with Gene Loftybeck revealed that there is movement on the "Brown Box" again. Apparently, Fred Loftybeck's Vermont compound has a reported 173 pallets of material, many of which are multi-track tapes of all the sessions from all of the Fivehouse properties. Supposedly, after the few "promotional" copies of the "Brown Box" were sold much better sources were discovered in the "wine cellar/warehouse" on the compound. They are working to get this out for the first film's 39th Anniversary (The Loftybecks don't like even numbers). Very Gaw Jus MaxB

My library DVD of Weeps was in horrible shape; it jammed during the last third of the movie. Cleaning the disc was no help at all. Can someone here tell me how it ends?
