This composer did a whole string of very popular genre films in the 90's and the turn of the century, Sadly this composer passed on in the 21st century at a pretty young age, with much more to offer. WHO IS THIS COMPOSER?

I am a composer who has scored about a dozen and a half films from the 70's into the 90's. 2 genre efforts, one, a very controversial film from the mid 80's that got parents very upset, another a film about a often ignored minority of the world, WHO AM I?

I'm sure I'll be kicking myself later, but I have no idea just now. Perhaps a final clew?

It's definitely Frankie Avalon, this time...isn't it?

(Damned if I can think of the movie.)

Sure, , a beach, a pop singer of the rock and roll era, he is still alive, yet his famous partner died a couple of years ago and he was in this genre film where he was the only American in the film of another country's cast. When he gets it between the legs in very effective style the male audiences went shit, the females giggle[why do girls think damage to men on screen in that area even in a serious film has humor, while men would not think it is funny if that was done on a women]. Film was made between 1965 and 1975 and a veteran actor with initials D.P.was in it.

The answer is FRANKIE AVALON, the film HORROR HOUSE-1969- Released by AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL starring DENNIS PRICE. The psychopath at the end of the movie sticks a very large knife in the very sensitive part of the male anatomy of Frankie. It was strong but I can't fall for the wrong sentiment it was strong for it's time, because except for a few things by the late 60's and early 70's nearly everything explicit had been done on screen, A lot of us just forget.

So, it was Avalon. SBD deserves at least half a point.

Next question please.

Which semi-classic genre film features a love theme clearly based on, of all things, Stravinsky's Firebird?
