David Raksin scored The Day After. Funnily enough, The Day After was directed by Nicholas Meyer the year after Star Trek II... if he'd used Horner again it would've been even more apt!
Raksin's score was almost entirely dumped though. The film uses just "The River" by Virgil Thompson as the opening titles. I honestly don't remember any other music at all.

Enormously grateful to have this on CD. I never had the foot-warmer, and always loved this score.
I wrote a paper in college on the differing ways THE DAY AFTER, TESTAMENT and THREADS approached the same subject matter in the same year, the most dangerous period of the entire Cold War as we've since learned (Operation Able Archer, etc).

By the way, I couldn't possibly be more grateful that this CD exists, and I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth.
That said, and with all the love for FSM in the world, does anyone else's CD say "TestamenTs", with an extra "s" at the end, on the spine?

I just checked mine and yes mine has it on only one end of the spine.

Maybe The Ladies Man was in charge of the spine art. Though, I guess it would say "Testamenths" if that were the case.

It looks ok on the FSM page, but... well... *sigh*
Yeah, mine does too.
Great release, but I'm not too impressed with the artwork glitch on the spine. Any plans to fix this with buyers?

The spine typo: it is a typo. We even know how it happened: someone hit "save"
and missed the apple key so only an "s" was added!
We are reprinting the tray card. We have a bit of a problem in distributing the
replacement tray card because trays, unlike booklets, can't just be tossed into
an order...they have to be put in a jewel box and it's a real hassle. So the guys at
SAE have been dreading this and I've tried to help them by giving them a little
bit of breathing room. Any suggestions from you guys?

I think those who purchased Testament from SAE should be patient for the corrected insert; nothing is preventing them from enjoying the music. Perhaps FSM could tell anyone that has the CD to simply place a note in their next SAE order indicating that they previously ordered Testament and would like a replacement insert. Make it a gradual crusade to replace the inserts without making it a colossal task and a costly shipping bummer for SAE.
Q: why do the inserts have to be placed in a jewel case on the SAE end? Couldn't they just be carefully flattened and mailed, then the consumers could replace the insert in their own jewel cases?

I hadn't noticed the error.
If a replacement is sent my way, happy days, but this doesn't bother me at all. 
Excellent release, BTW. Gets to me every listen, especially Carol Consoles Liz.

I don't feel any burning need for a replacement either.
Hope I didn't stir up trouble for FSM, I love the CD, was just curious about the typo and figured someone was bound to mention it eventually.
