Just curious, as I noticed this on Waxwork's site...
ROSEMARY'S BABY?!?

Is the LLL pressing OOP?
What's going on with this new CD issue from them?
I didn't get this yet, which CD should I pick up... LLL or WW?

It's a nice cover but I hope La-La will use the existing poster

or mabey even this great thai poster! smile

They can't use that art. Another label appears to have the rights to the regular release on digital and disc on demand.

Waxwork just has the LP rights only

CD rights are still with LLL

Received the new Blu-Ray today but watched only the 'big' featurette yet - the movie has to wait until the family is sleeping tonight.

Only three more weeks ....

Will rewatch my Arrow blu-ray today as part of the Friday the 13th vibe, might even see Dawn prior to it as I still need to watch the Argento cut from their other release. smile

I don't have the Arrow but when looking at these caps I would say that the Shout looks better.

Still way from perfect because the disc-size is only ca. 43 GB so they could have encoded the movie much better. I noticed some 'smearing' in fast movements of the dark clothed soldiers and Bub in front of the white walls !!
But the featurette is cool - some of the actors have changed, well, drastically ..... big grin

I saw that comparison and to me the Shout looks a bit too warm as far as the colors go (Especially that cap of Bub reading the Salem's Lot book), the Arrow seems more consistent with previous transfers. I always felt day needed to look a bit less saturated given the tone of the movie but it's a matter of preference I guess. Like many other fans I discovered Dawn & Day on VHS, the quality on these blu-rays is stellar. The Anchor Bay was a big leap and a great release, I'm holding on to that as well smile

Funny, I always thought that previous transfers tried too much to make the zombies looking more like in DAWN !! I mean this bluish-gray make-up.

But I am happy. The dialogue issues are fixed now as well.

That's good to know. I never got around to buying the Arrow release so it looks like the Shout Factory version will be in my collection soon.

In at last, and as Francis said in another thread, it's a home run.

Great sound, great notes that actually have some new info I'd never
heard before, just a total class act. Hearing the film tracks of something
you've listened to in album form for decades is weird, but enjoyable.

And I have to give much much love and props to the LaLa Land gang
and ESPECIALLY M V for "backing me up" on this one, you are a gent
sir, and I greatly greatly appreciate your help smile

Why this post is written in 'gang lingo', I dunno, I'm disrtracted - just
do yourself a favor, go buy the bloody record. :-P
