Been listening to some fine HANK WILLIAMS Jr, lately while he does not have quite the talent of his father. He is still a solid performer. Been listening to Charlie Rich as well, always was a good singer in my books. His ballads of the 70's are really touching.
Boney M were massive in the UK during the late 70's - early 80's. Very catchy pop music but too cheesy for my taste.
I was tortured by Boney M once. An 8 hour bus ride in Nepal where the driver had one cassette tape, Boney M's Greatest Hits which he played over and over and over again. After about 4 hours a Nepalese passenger went to the front of the bus and took the cassette away from the driver and everybody cheered.
I'd never even heard of Boney M, so I just checked a youtube clip and I applaud the passengers of that bus for their restraint for enduring four hours before taking action; I don't think I could've last four minutes!
Then again, I listen to a lot of cheesy Japanese and Italian film and TV music from the '60s and '70s that would surely drive most people nuts, so I can't pass judgement.
Believe me, I was near to strangling the driver and plunging us into a drop off the road that ended in infinity. I think we all have our own little "idiosyncracy" when it comes to cheesy music Josh
As noted in another thread, I've always loved this album, though now I find it an even greater comfort as I await my wife's release from hospital after her surgery yesterday. Upbeat Bob is just what I need right now as New Morning finds His Bobness at his happiest and most content. Dylan's piano playing is quite affecting.

Jim Phelps: Best of wishes to you and your wife, by the way.
