Great covers, Chris and raferjanders.

The 1961 German orchestra that Rozsa used for the LP recording of EL CID was the "Symphonie-Orchester Graunke" of Munich (not to be confused with the "Münchner Symphoniker" or Munich Symphony Orchestra). The "Symphonie-Orchester Graunke" was organized and led by Kurt Kraunke and its name would be rendered more naturally in English as the "Graunke Symphony Orchestra."

Thanks for the kind words and the information regarding the orchestra, cover has been amended.

Raferjanders, that Once Upon a Time In The West cover is outstanding.

Another take on Once Upon a Time In The West

Simple but quite effective.

Very... a first-rate composition. Don't believe I've ever seen that artwork before... from an official poster?

It appears to be a poster for a one off presentation of the film at the Astor Theatre. I stumbled across it on line and thought it would make an effective soundtrack cover.

Here goes another RSNO cover.

Superb albums both, especially the first. That one got me into Alex North... it never delivered in the artwork department however. This though seems too similar to the Varese release, personally I'd hunt down an alternate poster.

That Astor poster for OUATITW is death. I just realised - it's a skull smile

Another RSNO classic,

Chris, Viva Zapata and Agony and the Ecstacy look A-mazing! I love that you used the Bookman Antigua font for the lettering, it's a nifty callback to those great V/ S releases that came out in my formative years of film score collecting. The artwork chosen for Zapata is superb, and works beautifully with the blue and yellow text.

Please keep 'em coming! Hope you'll tackle 2001 next.

Thanks, here goes with 2001, it's far from perfect and I may revisit it in the near future,

I do like it, but it feels as if it needs some colour. Also, I would rather change the text to "World Premiere Recording of the Legendary Original Score" and move it to the top. The text in the middle looks a bit lost.

I can't find a good high res picture of that poster, I did however find this one, I think it's an improvement on my first attempt smile

My FINAL two RSNO covers,

Phew, I need a rest, my arthritic fingers are killing me,

I realise that The Great Escape, is the cover everyone uses, but it's such an iconic cover, how could I possibly use something else?
