Burnley 0 Liverpool 1

Raheem Sterling once again is the (positive) difference as the Reds outlast lowly Burnley.

In other Premiership results, thread villain senior easily dispose of thread villain junior Newcastle, 3-1. I'm sure no one's Pardew hearts are breaking in this thread. wink

And Bill, who the frack plays tennis in December in Old Blighty?!? With that kind of dedication one would think there would have been more than one Gentleman winning Wimbledon in seventy years. wink

too old to get better, but i play reasonable standard.
And yeh, you have to wrap up, thermals, track suit, hoodie, etc.

good result for liverpool. Yeh couldnt decide who i hated the most in that United - newc match, wanted them both to lose. United looked fierce going forward, shaky at back!

I don't know, Bill. I never pictured you as the tennis type. More like an Eddie Coyle "Hurt like a bastid"... wink

The Hammers won't have to worry about Olivier Giroud when they play, as he was sent off in Arsenal's win over QPR for a headbutt. Just keep an eye out for Alexis Sanchez, because he will burn yo' azz.

Almost forgot...

English Championship

Leeds United 0 Wigan 2

TG's side continues to drift towards the relegation zone as they lose at home to relegation-zone dwellers Wigan. An own goal from Leeds' Liam Cooper sets the tone and seals their fate. Leeds fall to 20th on the English Championship table.

Feel free to forget...

The business with the current owner is having an influence on the players.

The football league's perpetual intent to disrupt Leeds continues to have the desired effect. It's been the same since 1918, when Leeds City was disbanded for making illegal payments to guest players in WW1. They were the only club punished even though most clubs were doing the same thing. It's as if there's a secret clause in the League's memorandum and articles stating:

"As the city of Leeds primarily considers itself a Rugby League city, any Associate Football club therein shall be shat upon at any and every opportunity"

Neil Warnock sacked as manager of Crystal Palace. Leeds United might consider begging him to return.

Pah!
It just makes Liverpool's recent gutless surrender to them even more pathetic and annoying!!

There's even worse news than that, Kev, as it's come out that John "Not a Racist" Terry is going to play his best up until he's 70. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu----

take no notice of that jim. Garth crooks - the gobbin goblin!! if hes picked a team of the week hes copied it and is just repeating what everyone else has said on t.v radio and papers. The guy doesnt have an original thought but he dresses up his "opinion" with mock exagerration and pompous over-coached line delivery! i dont know how he has stayed employed in bbc media.
Total fake - the scary thing is, he thinks hes bright!

"im really starting to think Liverpool might not have the season they had last season..."

this time of year we have the final places for the NfL play-offs- and invariably someone comes on without reading the thread and types Go Panthers! or Go Wildebeasts! or some such.
Or even ressurects an NFL thread.
This year, all quiet on the gridiron front, whats goin on?!

I haven't followed the NFL or any other American sports in years, except I know that the Miami Dolphins are still floundering. wink

Southampton-Chelsea today. I don't suppose Southies will give me a belated Christmas present by handing Chelsea its head? Nah.

And this was the game Sam had targeted!
No wilshere, ramsey and giroud - and we go 2 down before half time! mugs.
if ever we had a chance to do arsenal, it was today.

Sthamptn doin alrite at 1-1. about 8 mins left.
