Jon Burlingame said in FB page, dedicated to John Barry that
Coppola's company has been unresponsive when labels have (recently) approached them about a new, expanded COTTON CLUB soundtrack. Could be they don't see enough of a financial return to make it worth their while.
What's the story on Alaska by Reg Powell?. Really adventurous score with memorable themes. I think Varese was slated to release an album in 96, but it got pulled.
I know it's sort of an obscure title by a relatively unknown composer, but...is it a possibility?
first, I love all the tv shows that you guys at La La Land Records have been doing, especially those of shows that have been off the air, particularly the Dead Like Me one was such a gift !
Now to the questions that I have:
1.) Is there a chance to give The X-Files treatment to the Desperate Housewives score by Steve Jablonsky? his music kept me watching even long after the show turned to crap (which was fairly early) and I know many people love his music. releasing the score always seemed like such a no-brainer, which is why I was always surprised no record label has jumped at the chance yet.
2.) I was a big fan of the cult hits Banshee and Dollhouse and the score on them, so I kind of figured I would mention them as inspiration for potential future releases. Banshee had a soundtrack already, but I preferred the musical score by Methodic Doubt over what they released.

Sales projections could be a holdup and how the way ones that did come out fared - otherwise there'd be more volumes of Alias, Revenge, Heroes, Once Upon A Time and others out of there. Look at the optimistically titled OMFGG Vol. 1 - (Original Music Featured On Gossip Girl Vol. 1).
Thanks for continuously contributing to one of the most interesting threads ever here.
I'd love it if you'd continue to produce more of James Horner's works, like perhaps definitive releases of "The Land Before Time" and "Avatar"? The latter is coming up on its 10th anniversary in a year!
Perhaps also Horner's obscure work "Flight," a.k.a. "Write Your Soul" and the related piece "The Fourth Horseman" about the joy of flying?
