I got my (signed) CD yesterday and listened to it from back to front. I got the disc solely for the Safan cue, so the rest of the disc is "gravy", so to speak. I already have an earlier edition of the score on my shelf.

Truthfully, I think its a great release. Other people are free to have other opinions, but they're also free to buy an earlier edition of the score and then choose which one they prefer. Any audio quibbles (I hear none on mine but I'll admit to having a tin ear) seem to be solely from the age of the recording and its master tapes (33 years ago!) and not as if someone dropped the proverbial ball in releasing this.

That said, I enjoyed the disc enough to stick it on my phone and I'm listening to it as I'm writing this. For me, this was money well spent.

There are flaws on the recording. If you follow the helpful descriptions of where they are, and you're wearing decent headphones, you'll spot them. Do they spoil the listening experience of, what sounds to me, like the most complete and clear version of Thief? No.
I've got a number of versions of this soundtrack and the Perserverance version will be my go to recording now.
