When is Thunderbirds Barry Grey coming out.

Not sure of the date, but I'm guessing it will be early next year.

I believe the Space:1999 set will be available from 20th September.

Update from Fanderson yesterday:

I'm delighted to announce that we will start mailing a small number of the CDs tomorrow.

Expecting this weekend's Alpha:2014 convention to be the event for all Space:1999 fans we'd paid to have a small number of the limited edition run shipped to us as soon as they came off the machines (rather than waiting for the entire run in one shipment). It was lovely to meet so many new Space:1999 fans yesterday, as well as seeing so many old friends, and there are now quite a few members with the CDs in the possession.

We didn't sell all our stock yesterday, though, so that means we can start mailing discs whilst we await the bulk of the delivery later this week.

The album has pre-sold so well that there aren't enough discs to mail to everyone straight away, though. So, please still work to the 20th as the release date, but you might be one of the lucky ones to get an early surprise in the next few days!

I hope I ordered early enough that I'm among one of those sent out before the 20th.

Anyone know if Fanderson sends out shipping notice e-mails?

They're not covering it because it's a second season episode compilation, but it would be lovely if they included in the main theme for Destination Moonbase-Alpha (made from the two part "Bringers of Wonder"). The tune by Mike Vickers is assembled form three cues: "Moonbase 1, 2 & 3" and is perfect for the series. Totally fits with Derek Wadsworth's scores. I have it on LP, but I'd love a copy without the scratches and pops.

Hopefully Year Two redo is in the works and it could be included there.

detailed info and inserts scans on Catacombs:
http://catacombs.space1999.net/main/merc/vmrcd.html
The pics below are expandable (right-click, "view")

Would be interesting if someone detailed what's new, expanded, or omitted from first release.
Here's an interesting line - "some scores have been adjusted to play at the same speed as used in the episodes."
They were filmed so I dont think they mean PAL. I wonder if they mean cues like the creepy droning track which was a slowed-down cue from FIREBALL?

Disc One (total running time 67:51)
1-8 Breakaway
9-10 War Games
11-12 End of Eternity
13-14 Dragon's Domain
15 Death's Other Dominion
16 The Full Circle
17-23 Matter of Life And Death
24-28 Alien Attack

Disc 2 (total running time 69:51)
1-7 Black Sun
8-11 Force of Life
12 Space Brain
13 Collision Course
14-15 The Troubled Spirit
16 Missing Link
17 Mission of the Darians
18-21 Ring Around The Moon
22 Journey Through the Black Sun

Disc 3 (total running time 74:39)
1-7 Another Time, Another Place
8 The Guardian Of Piri
9-11 The Infernal Machine
12 The Last Enemy
13 Earthbound
14 Voyager's Return
15-16 Alpha Child
17-18 The Last Sunset
19-23 Testament of Arkadia
24-30 Bonus Tracks

I'm not aware of Fanderson ever posting tracklistings or samples. Perhaps someone knows different.

Nope - see for yourself.

I think he means for any CD release, not just the new one. But they did post detailed info of earlier Year One and Year Two releases, although maybe a while after the fact:

ΒΆ Roughly:
I see they insert the Silva Screen track "The Solarium" by Giampiero Boneschi: good thing.
Some tracks are longer than the 1998 edition too.
Some scores have additional tracks: "War Games", "End of Eternity", "Alpha Child", for instance.
There are unreleased scores too: "Earthbound", "Voyager's Return", "The Last Enemy".
To make a comparison, in the 1998 edition, "The Troubled Spirit" track "Atonement" lasted 2 minutes 57 and now it's 6 minutes 43.

thanks. Not alot of music added from previously un-included episodes. Curious what "Solarium" was and found an interesting youtube edit of the episode.

LOL at the "The Solarium" track sequence at 1:54. I don't know who put that clip together, but there's a minor twisted genius at work. wink

By the way, has anyone else noticed the back of the CD is actually mistaken?

It's tracks 1-7 that are Breakaway, not 1-8; and tracks 8-10 are War Games, not 9-10.

(Although in reality track 10 is an advert break so probably isn't specifically War Games per se.)

I'm not complaining though. Personally, I think little mistakes like that add to the quaintness of things.

Cheers
