Is this the first time the original Gremlins mini album has seen a CD release in the US? I do have it on CD but I believe it was a German import. (And I don't mind buying it again one bit for the complete score!)
I have about 5 Ben Hur releases on CD, (including the Rhino) and would still welcome what FSM would do with it, but how many of me are out there who would buy a 6th version of the score (albeit one given the Kendall/Matessino treatment)?

I'm quite surprised that Gremlins wasn't saved for last. I hope Lukas is planning on going out with a bang. It would be quite an anti-climax if the last FSM disc was the score for some obscure TV movie.

Yes of course I'd buy a sixth version (depending on the quality), but my original point was wondering how many others would do the same. i.e. if other releases are still around and easily available then is there enough market interest to justify another release?
As for the last FSM release: I too would like to see the label go out big time and in style. However if the last FSM release was something obscure, then I think that would also be a great way to end the label: it would reinforce FSM's "indie" vibe and confirm that the label was committed to all good film music, no matter how popular the composer or film may have been, and that the label was always trying to expand our palette in taste and awareness.
As another thought: wouldn't it be interesting if FSM's last release was from a composer they had never released before? Or a compilation?

I asked MV what the possibilities of Sony and LLL working together to allow LLL to release the perfect Star Wars Saga box set and he said zilch. He told me there are some things that Sony wants to keep for themselves, Star Wars being one of those things.
