Carrerra is one of the best, and she's not even official Bond! YUM!

I hope they get back to making Bond women who are curvy, meaty, exotic and powerful, like they should be (and with funky double entendre names). Bond shouldn't be for plain, salon stick insects in distress.

Onatopp and Elektra King were to my mind the best gals of the Brosnan era. Moneypenny too!

Okay, yah want a woman's P.O.V.? Tough! Yer gettin' it anyway!

My favorite Bond Woman so far?

And my vote for the next one?

Aishwarya Rai (Bollywood actress)...In my opinion, simply as close to perfection as it gets.

And I've GOT to bring it over to the new page!cool

Okay neo, since you fancy yourself the expert, let's have a top five list of women who should have been Bond women but never were! (I admit, I can't make a good enough list past #1-Raquel Welch)

How about some of the usual 1960s suspects?

1. Barbara Bouchet
2. Julie Newmar
3. Wende Wagner
4. Dianna Lund
5. Yvonne Craig

And yeah, I maintain that Raquel Welch, at her peak, is the single sexiest woman to have ever appeared on a movie screen.

My wife and I saw Aishwarya live at a Bollywood fest in San Francisco years ago, and she was so beautiful as to be otherworldly.

Supposedly, Ash was considered for Casino Royale (which would've been a huge boost for her career worldwide), but there's no way she could've done the kissing/lovemaking scenes, because her Indian audiences would never forgive her.

However, if you wanted to have another stunning Indian "Bond" actress (who can actually act), I'd nominate Indira Varma.

I guess we should also try to breathe new life into the Trek thread too, right? smile

I took a peak at it, and found that many of the pics had been wiped out...frown But hey, it's that time of year, so why not?

As for this thread, I really need to rewatch the Brozza years again and see if those beauties can capture my imagination like those 1960s-70s ladies did...

Oh, and if anyone out there has a jpeg of Barbara Bach's bathing scene from Force 10 From Navarone, DO drop me a line!

BTW, if Tracy was supposed to be Bond's great love, why was he boinking all those chicks up in Piz Gloria? Sure, "he's Bond", but the love story never rang true with me, especially after all of that.

Coming up on its first anniversary pretty soon, in fact. I actually saw that most of the pics are still there or at least the ones I thought were most important. smile (Mariette Hartley, Nancy Kovack, Diana Ewing). But hey, if a favorite is gone, feel free to repost!

Let's at least make some qualifications for best Bond girl:

1. she has to have appeared nekkid in PLAYBOY
or
2. done a nude scene in a film.

all contestants who haven't are disqualified

I think Eva green wins. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believe it or not, that means Lois Maxwell would beat out a number of more famous names!

You-(Dr.)No-Better-Than-That Department:

Now, Eric-San, Eric-San, to politely (and mite mischieviously) paraphrase: Since you fancy yourself the Bond expert smile, you damn well KNOW you're gonna haveta explain that, um, titillating statement above. eek

Did we blink somewhere along the lines and missed that issue or what?!

Don't you DARE drop that kind of Bond-shell and leave us, uh, hangin' ... wink

There is another photo of Lois from that same session as the bottom one (both taken for a "Women of James Bond" feature the magazine did in 1965). Lois's back is to the camera, but she is not wearing anything above the waist in the shot.

LOL. It isn't the issue itself I was remembering but actually one Bond fan site having the image in question and identifying it as coming from that particular issue.

Think maybe the Bond-Moneypenny relationship would have taken a different turn if she'd dressed that way in the office? wink

Better re-edit the link, neo, since the image wasn't reproduced here.

Lois's Moneypenny will never be bettered!

Akiko Wakabayashi and Mie Hama in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE

Oh yes - two of my favourites. My first Bond girls, I suppose, as YOLT was the first 007 film I ever saw, aged about 8.

My. Word.

If she was gonna look like this, Cubby Broccoli should have signed her!
