Hilarious pics and videos...and here I was content to take a few lousy unboxing photos smile

Got mine today, and I'm loving it. It's the calm before the storm of laboriously putting 16 CD's in film order in iTunes...!

I just copied over the USB Collection to my PS3.

The music chip is activated by pressing on the dark circle in the tin toward a corner on the zoetrope side of the lid.

My music chip doesn't work.

Mine works just fine. It's beautifully done. You don't have to use the zoetrope strips because the film images are on the USB drive.

How is the music? After all, it is the most important feature.

You're right. I'm being stupid. It shouldn't matter that the music chip doesn't work. Silly me.

No, silly ME. I misunderstood what you meant by music chip.

The music chip should play if you apply pressure to the inside of the lid. It's not the greatest thing ever, if you're holding it at a wrong angle the sound will get all crackly and distorted. The whole thing is quite delicate, I'm glad mine mostly came in one piece.

Also, for those wondering how to use the zoetrope... DO NOT thread the images into the slots. At first I thought that's what had to be done, but since there were no instructions I decided not to mess with it. I watched the unboxing video and it showed the woman doing it.

Simply place one of the rolls at the bottom and spin. Look through the slots and voila!

Thank you for that info. Guy in our mail room told me mine was already playing when it arrived, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to play again. (I just hope at some point it stops playing; it might creep me out in the middle of the night)

This is awesome. Kudos to Jeff, Richard, and everyone else involved. Finally, film music gets the gorgeously ornate and elaborate packaging it deserves.

It's quite sad that someone has already posted multiple discs of the box on FFShrine when they have an explicit no Warner policy there.

I managed to get the music chip working. What happened was when the lid was flipped zoetrope side up, the little speaker was dislodged (the glue doesn't appear to have held up). I unscrewed the top panel (four screws) and it turns out the button that activates the chip wasn't making contact with the top panel. I adjusted it, re-attached the panel and sure enough if you press an inch or two away from the dark circle in one corner, the music will play.

Thanks to all involved, especially Mr. Kraft for asking us fans some of the things we were missing most from previous releases (not to mention the honor of having our names printed in this historic box!) I'm diving in the box right now. Beetlejuice sounds phenomenal!

Great job on the book, Mr. Bond. I'm intimidated.

ALSO, a nice feature, if you unscrew the top and look at the music box thingy. You can switch it off so every time you move it or push it it won't go off. I did that.

It is pretty neat to see my name in this.

I got through four discs today, not bad, four discs and two videos. What a productive day. Lordy, I need a real job.

Finally I got mine yesterday afternoon. Don't know where to start. Everything looks first rate.
I even put my signed bonus disc inside.
