This turned out to be a little easier than expected. I tried to manually extend the explosion/smoke all the way to edges of the image using pasting and cloning among numerous techniques, but it was never satisfactory. If someone wants to give that a go, please do. Font was recreated from scratch due to the warping of the original image.

Looks very good indeed. One small observation... there's some line work going on (artist's signature) behind the letters "olds" of Goldsmith that would look better moved away.

Fixed. Changed the pic in the initial post.

That looks fantastic Brad! Many thanks.

May I ask if you could post a textless version? it's such a nice image.

Looking forward to see the other variant too (the one that matches the recent Blu-ray cover).

Here's my ROTJ cover. I'll be tweaking it incessantly until I'm happy. I need a suitable Chewie image for placement next to Artoo, preferably an action type pose, maybe where he is crouching down taking aim with his crossbow. Unfortunately, Chewie did not seem to get much love in the Jedi poster campaign frown

Amazing work once again.

If I had a criticism it would be that the "Chicken Walkers" would look better coming out of the forest instead of floating above the trees.

Apart from that (minor) niggle, it's a brilliant work of art and will be transferred into my JtwRafer file immediately.

I've been looking at my Monstrous Movie Music collection today, and think it would be good to have (and fun to work on I imagine), separate custom covers for all the individual Monstrous Movie Music scores.

The CD "Monstrous Movie Music" had newly-recorded scores from It Came from Outer Space, Them!, Mole People and It Came From Beneath the Sea.

The CD "More Monstrous Movie Music" has The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, Tarantula, Gorgo and Monolith Monsters.

The CD "This Island Earth" also contains Day of the Triffids and a couple of snippets from War of the Satellites and Earth vs the Flying Saucers.

The CD "Creature From the Black Lagoon" had the title film's score, plus music for the MGM Tarzan Films, and The Alligator People.

The CD "Mighty Joe Young" also included 20 Million Miles to Earth and a bit from The Animal World.

And that's just the five I have in front of me right now. By the way, these are SUPERB re-recordings. Absolutely excellent, with recorded sound that's ideal for these kinds of score. Anyone who hasn't yet heard them should check out the clips and reviews. Other CDs from the label are original tracks, but this series mentioned above are all re-recordings.

I’d really love covers for these as Basil suggests if anyone is game. I came to these very late ordering a large number of them a year ago when they had a great sale on, they are all brilliant and I would strongly second the above recommendation!

Thanks Chris. I originally did have the AT-STs emerging from the forest, but the image I had to work with was missing the bottom part of the legs, and I couldn't get the right placement of the trees to cover up the missing legs. As I mentioned in my original post, I'll still be tweaking this ad fatigo so I'll play around with those walkers some more.

Loving the JTWrafer file! Do you also have a GizeltWillis one? wink

CaboBlanco - quite a turnaround from an unpromising image, the final cover came out real well. Excellent work dtw on disappearing those fold lines and Brad on recreating the font. I did have a go at extending the edges while erasing the logo - a partial success so it remains unfinished for now.

That Monstrous project is enticing ...

Three requests:

Nice ones, thanks for those.

Anyone had any success at applying art filters to photos to make them appear painted (without looking like photos that were manipulated)?

I need to get a Chewie image for my ROTJ cover, but can't find anything suitable, so I'll looking at using a still. Unfortunately I don't have the skill or suitable tools to do this myself.

Revisions applied:

Decided to simplify the Jedi poster and keep all the space action at the top. Added some ships and improved the explosions and starfield on the middle left. Luke's corrected green l/s has also been improved. Still need a suitable Chewie image.

For Star Wars, improved the explosion on the right and added another ship near the DS.
