Well this one was first and is comprehensive. I dunno why the offshoot one keeps getting bumped. Probably because the sites's broken search engine finds it and not this one .

I LOVE the teaser -- both the film clips and the music. The first part reminds me of Williams' WAR OF THE WORLDS. Can't wait! I love it also, Yes, it reminded me of War of the Worlds and a view passages from Harry Potter 3, because of the asymmetrical bars in minor mode chords, the brass stingers and the cut off with the piccolos sound fantastic. Just a feeling, but it has freshness, more than I'd expected, I think the maestro is really even more ambitious than usually and probably getting input from JJ Abrams which gives a new dynamic The teaser is fantastic. I would have abandoned the narration though, because the visuals are so great, wow, the Millenium Falcon shot crowning that fantastic nostalgic in-camera style

Is it me or does the "STAR WARS Main Title" sound a bit beefier on the low-end (or maybe a little more muscular)? I'm not complaining, I love it; but I'd swear it sounds as if it has a little more heft...a little more oomph to it than the versions on the soundtracks. Just wondering if anyone else thinks they hear it, too?

My first impression: okay. No Han Solo, Leia, Luke, Chewie or C3PO and R2D2. But... ... after letting my expectations go and looking at the teaser again I could appreciate what it set out to do. It´s not about repeating the original trilogy-feeling. It´s about alluding to it but making something new first and foremost. It introduces the four new major characters - and then does the pars pro toto approach with bringing in the X-Wing-Fighters, the Stormtroopers and... the Millennium Falcon. And all this to a more crisp and bassy version of John Williams´ main theme. Brilliant.

Without George Lucas all the fanboys would not be fanboys now.

I didn't either. Sounded more like Cumberbatch to me
