I highly recommend a think-outside-the-box sitcom from 2014 called Garfunkel and Oates. There are only eight episodes, but they are gems. I saw it in first run; it should be on Netflix or something now.

Thank you. I'll add it.

What no Galavant? Wonderful songs and score you can hum to. Though I don't care for the often times crass lyrics. Awesome cast of characters I just adored. Everyone one of them.

Isn't that, like, a Broadway show or something? As I hated what I saw of CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, it's probably not for me. Although -- independently of all this -- I love Disney musical films and Alan Menken. But that's a different story.

THE KROLL SHOW.....WTF was that?!? I think I lasted all but 7 minutes of the pilot episode before my brain exploded.

Moving relatively quickly down the list now. Next is THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN, which I see is an older show (premiered 1999). Doesn't have to be a disadvantage, though.

The League of Gentlemen is great but can get very dark. A lot of it isn't played for big laughs either.

It's a musical comedy.

OK, I'll add it to the list. Somewhat trepidatiously.

THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN didn't really appeal to me either. I think over the last few years, I've come to appreciate more comedy that flows naturally from the situations, rather than this type of vaudeville histrionics. But I liked the 'setting' of the show.

Moving on to THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, then (which is just a pilot episode, it seems), and then immediately on to THE MIDDLE.

Smartypants!

I saw the first 20 minutes of the MRS. DAISEL pilot. Great production design, but not really something for me. And again with the 50-minute running time. Don't think I'll be tuning in for this when the show airs proper.

Also saw the first episode THE MIDDLE. Not too keen on family sit-coms, as previously mentioned, but it was fairly OK. I might give it 1 or 2 more episodes before I decide. It's a looooong show, after all (some 200 episodes soon, I think).

THE MIDDLE is very good for at least the first five years, and Sue (the daughter, Eden Sher) is the standout character. She's hilarious. For the last couple of years though, it's like they stopped trying to get laughs. It's become tame and rested on its laurels. The humor is running on fumes.

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE is more dated, but all of its characters were funny, some outrageously so, and the show was endlessly inventive. They created worlds within worlds, always going to some new comedic place and nailing it. And they kept the quality up for the whole run if I recall.

Yeah, I remember tuning into MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE now and then when it aired. It wasn't really my cup of tea at the time, and by now -- as you say -- it's become rather dated. But always a treat to see Bryan Cranston, pre-BB.

Yeah, I've seen it on Netflix when I've been logged on. I'll add it to the list.

He will always be Tim Whatley to me.

That's the Heffernan neighbour, right? Yeah, I also had a bit of trouble shaking off that particular persona when I first watched BREAKING BAD.

As getting through THE MIDDLE seems to be a longterm project (although I'm not sure I'll see them all; it's not THAT interesting), I've started watching BOJACK HORSEMAN on Netflix inbetween. That's a pretty decent show.

Added BORDERLINE to the list, which is a sort of THE OFFICE Lite, just set to the customs and border protection unit.
