Without any clues it's anyone's guess. What's been suggested thus far doesn't interest me. Will be curious to see what this mystery set ends up being.

It would be great A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET BOX

with expanded from Charles Bernstein
expanded from Christoper Young
complete and movie version from Angelo Badalamenti + Ken Harrison score
remastered with intro song and the instru don't be afraid of your dream (freddy 4)
and others ....

But the lethal weapon box is very good too

I have no idea if it's coming, but it seems unlikely to me to be a $120 eight disc set. Aside from the "Star Trek" original box, they've doled out these television scores in smaller, cheaper sets. I'm a little dubious that "Tales" has the fan base to justify such an endeavor.

You might be right. However, a good number of big name composers did contribute to the series.

I'm biased since I am a big fan of the series, but I can easily see La-La Land releasing a lavish set for Tales from the Crypt.

Any pre-1970s soundtrack coming in 2013 other than the next Kritzerland release? I can only think of True Grit, The Pleasure of His Company and The Miracle that got my interest this season.

But I would imagine a 4-disc set, not 8, to offset production costs of what is admittedly a series with niche appeal even within the larger soundtrack collecting community.

I tend to agree with the above posters that Tales from the Crypt is likely especially given that MV was apparently looking into it some time ago. I'm struggling to think of what else it could be... the only other guess I can come up with is a box set of something like The Twilight Zone which also features a number of big name composers and could span that size of set.

EDIT: From the horse's mouth (LLL Face book page) "Approved

Is there any other word in the English language that is more beautiful than that word?

Well, right now, at this very moment -- in the hallowed offices of La-La Land Records -- there isn't.

Yes, Virginia...there is a Santa Claus.

After toiling on it off and on for nearly 4 years -- searching high and low for every scrap of music we could find and going through endless amounts of clearances -- our 8 disc Box Set is finally approved and off to the printers (and then to manufacture).

Black Friday 2013 can't get here quick enough."

Didn't MV first post about Tales from the Crypt in 2009 asking about which episodes were wanted? This seals the deal, to me.
Chris.

Hi Tom.smileI think there were 93 episodes of TFTC, so 8 discs could work.

A League of Their Own!

The Elfman I assume is Midnight Run as hinted.

Chris.

Tales has a lot of music and from some well known people. I'm not familiar enough with it to be excited for the possibility. But I have suspected since the beginning the 8 disc set is TV related.

Please tell me the Zimmer is A League of Their Own, the most enjoyable score as an album that Zimmer was ever involved in creating.

Another one here that really wants a proper release of League. It's pretty well near the top of my most wanted titles and will be even higher after Intrada's releases tomorrow.

Would even settle to know that it's being worked on or it's impossible and is never going to get released. One of Zimmers best unreleased scores, along with Rain Man (sorry I don't count the Perserverance release)

Just f.y.i., some other composers for TALES FROM THE CRYPT, in addition to Conti, are Horner, Kamen, Broughton, Colombier and Silvestri! I'm really hoping it's TFTC.
