The soundtrack is awash with dialog clips from star Glenda Jackson, Trevor Howard, and Mona Washbourne. The odd thing about the movie was that whenever I watched it on cable in the 1970s it often put me (briefly) to sleep, and yet I still loved it. And just love Patrick Gowers' soundtrack. (It's about the late British poet Stevie Smith, wonderfully played by Glenda Jackson.)
